I took a small suitcase and then a holdall bag but that was for my first baby and I definitely overpacked 😂 next one I'll probably just take a holdall xx

I think a suitcase was quite awkward as you need to rest it on the bed or floor to open it fully.. holdall bag was easy as it could just sit on the chair next to me or on the bed without taking up much room xxx

I took a suitcase and the hospital said it was perfect and most people bring two 😂

I’m taking a suitcase! There’s an afterbirth kit on Amazon with all the essentials definitely get one if you haven’t already xxx

I’m taking a small suitcase for the baby - it was £18 from Primark, nice quality with wheels. I have a holdall from my sister for my things.

I took a small suitcase but I was induced and was told I could have a long (ish) stay. So for me the suitcase was definitely needed! I also had a changing bag for the baby, and I advise to have many sleep suits (with feet) and vests. You’ll probably end up packing a lot of things you don’t need, but it’s better to have it and not need it :) congratulations and good luck with your labour 🤍

I certainly wouldn't buy any bags especially. For my first I took a holdall/overnight bag for my stuff, and packed the changing bag with baby's stuff.
I then packed another bag which stayed in the car which had more clothes for me and baby and pads and nappies etc in case our stay ended up being longer than 48 hours

I’ve packed a medium suitcase so it fits every single thing in and it’s just one thing to pull along. I found having two separate bags very annoying last time. Both times I had to stay in two nights so I’ve packed accordingly so I don’t have to wait on anyone to bring me anything I need
My baby fell off the bed last night so rang 111, told to go to A&E and all fine. 111 said they were doing safeguarding assessment. What should I expect to happen? Not heard anything yet. Thank you

Any mom here who elected a C without any medical reasons? How was your experience and recovery ?

When you had your second c-section, did they cut over the old scar or make a new incision?
