Did your second baby come earlier than your first? Also is it true that that if theres a smaller age gap your body remembers birth more so which makes it even faster

My first came 2 weeks early and I labored for over 24 hours before he came. My second came 1 week early and he was out in 8 hours. They are 16 months apart to the day. My body definitely knew what it was doing when it really started but I has false labor for over a week before true labor began and that was the kicker.

No my first baby came quicker around 8-9 hours. Second baby was around 12 hours.

My son came at 40 weeks exactly. 22 hour total labor; transitioned 7h20m before birth; pushed for 4h. Minor tear. 7lb 12 oz.

My daughter was born 8 days late. 18 hour total labor; transitioned 4h before birth; pushed for 90 minutes. No tear. 7lb 7oz.

Both were natural water births in non-hospital settings. No meds.

My first was born at 37+1 with a fairly quick and silent labour. Laboured probably around 5-6 hours.

Second was born at 38+1 following a week of latent labour. Was in an out of triage as contractions started and stopped. Active labour stage was around 7-8 hours. Doctors think the fact he was “sunny side up” is what led to the latent labour though.

I was induced with both so can’t speak for how early they come but I have a 17 month age gap. Both labours were VERY quick.

My first and second both came 40+2 my second was way quicker but then my 3rd didn't want to come out lol I got induced at 41+1 and they had to do an emergency c section because she just wasn't willing to leave lol. There's an 23 month age gap between my first and second and a 21 month age gap between my second and third x

Welcome October Twins

We did it! Hit 37 weeks on the nose for our October twin boys delivered via c section.

For any mamas at Heartlands in Birmingham - BRING YOUR OWN BUTTER! The trust has removed butter and replaced it with margarine, thankfully I was pre warned 🤣

Mama's who had a VBAC after one c-section I have questions!

How long did you push for your VBAC?

Did your scar change the sensation /pain levels of your contractions?

What gestation did you go into labor with your c-section vs your vbac?

And only semi related to c-section, if you were induced with your first and not with your VBAC, how did the contractions differ?

Also if you got to 10 CM and didn't push before your c-section at all let me know because I'm extra interested in hearing from you since that was my experience!

Multiple c-section mums…

When you had your second c-section, did they cut over the old scar or make a new incision?

20w scan

I’ve been for my 20 week scan today, baby measuring 20w 1 day, they’ve said I’m on the second percentile baby’s tummy is small, I’ve now been referred to fetal medicine clinic, and I’m so scared! I’m so worried 😟 any one been through this before?
