Hi! I’m Irene 😊 I’m new to Melbourne and have just moved here from Sydney with my 2-month-old baby girl. We’re living in South Yarra.
I’d love to meet other mums in the area for a coffee, a walk with the babies, or just a chat and to make some new friends. Feel free to message me if you’d like to catch up! 🤍

Hey lovely ☺️ check your local library for baby storytime, playgroups in your area as these are great to meet up with mums with similar aged kids. I live in St Kilda East so just on the other side of Windsor and I attend the st kilda playgroup on Thursday mornings if you want to come to it.

Thanks Nichola!

Also check out on Facebook port Phillip seeding playgroup too as they run on Friday mornings outdoors and it’s runner by a lovely mum also
Context I guess is we’ve been having problems since we got together and I guess I’m just not physically into him anymore.

First post in here and I figured I’d finally say hi instead of just scrolling 😂
I’m 36, a mom to a 19, 9 and a 2.5-year-old, all girls!! I work full time, so life is basically always busy.
I’ve also realized I’m 100% a Type C mom 😂 I have good intentions. I make lists. I forget about the lists. Somehow things still get done.
Honestly, I’m just looking for some mom friends. Like REAL friends. Someone to text random things to, grab coffee with, complain about life with, and actually make plans with.
If you’re in the same boat, I’d love to meet you. Because apparently making friends as an adult is weirdly hard. 😂

I think one of the hardest parts about trying to make mom friends on here is that you just don’t know who you’re actually going to vibe with from a profile 😅
I’m super down to earth, go with the flow, homebody/cozy type of person. I don’t need to be doing something all the time. I’m perfectly happy sitting in the house with coffee, talking about random stuff, laughing, letting the kids play, whatever lol. So I feel like I’d struggle trying to build a friendship with someone who is super serious all the time or has a completely different vibe than me.
And then I think being in a similar stage of life matters too. I’m 32, married, and have 4 kids, one with special needs, might I add. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be friends with someone younger or with one baby, but realistically we might just be in two completely different places in life. They might still want to go out and party and I’m over here genuinely excited about my pumpkin spice creamer in the morning 😂
I think I want a friend who just…gets it. Someone I don’t have to explain my whole life to because they understand the season I’m in. And that’s so hard to tell from a profile.
And then sometimes the conversation just…dies 😅 Not even because anything happened, but it starts feeling like one person is carrying it or you realize you just don’t naturally click. I think that’s what makes trying to make friends on apps so awkward.
Does anyone else feel like finding people you actually click with is the hardest part?

I have been in a emotional physical financial abusive marriage for two years. I finally have the courage to leave. He took my money all of my valuables. I’m leaving this marriage with absolutely nothing. I am in a foreign country away from family and friends. I have no job no income he’s refusing to support me financially and he’s making even small things. Such as formula or nappy is so difficult. I moved to the Middle East for him I’m originally from London he’s not allowing me to take the child out of this country. I’m considering giving him full custody and leaving baby with him. I’m finding it very difficult to take care of her. I want to build my life as anyone had any regrets from leaving the child. I love my child, but I can’t do this anymore.
