My daughter is 3 and autistic, she started going to school last April after she turned 3 she's in the special education preschool and get some of her therapies there and it was great for her, her speech has improved a ton and she seems to like going. This school year she got a new teacher and I have had several problems since she started but this made me see red today. I picked her up and saw it looked like she pooped through her pull up (she's gotten pretty good at peeing but still not wanting to go #2 on the potty and doesn't like to tell you either) but when I went to change her she was clean so they changed her and put the poop covered shorts back on her. She had an extra set of clothes in her backpack. And she was wearing a pretty long dress they could have just left them off and it be fine. I just put shorts on so she's extra covered while she's playing. I messaged the teacher and she claimed she didn't see it and apologized but how the heck did you not see that much poop on her pants.. I can't even respond I'm so mad I have nothing to say to her that would be productive but I'm not sure what to do at this point this is ridiculous

That's a "report to management" situation

I’d be absolutely fuming. Looking at that, I honestly don’t understand how anyone could say they didn’t notice it, it’s really obvious. Even if the teacher herself genuinely didn’t see it, somebody changed her and still put those shorts back on when she had clean clothes in her bag. I’d be reporting it to someone higher up and asking what they’re going to do to make sure it never happens again because that’s really not ok ❤️

Report that right away

Definitely report that. That’s not sanitary. There’s no way she didn’t see it.

You need to report the incident and document it via email "like we discussed earlier i am concerned that my child's teacher is not meeting her needs. Here are the reasons I feel this way" once they see that paper trail building they will make sure it stops happening

When I was younger, a woman at my nursery purposely let me ruin my clothes and get dirty. In the end my mum reported it. Turns out she was abusing me because she didn’t like me (I’m awaiting an autism assessment). You can’t ever take these things far enough in my experience

Report it, and if it happens again to any child, take it further, things like that shouldn't be happening in any school, but in 1 where they are supposed to be equipped for this kind of thing, they should be doing much better than that.

Thank you everyone for the responses ♥️ I'm ADHD and fairly sure I'm on the spectrum myself and on top of that a lot of childhood trauma and abusive exs so I constantly doubt myself on how big of a deal something is (being constantly told I overreact and am too much my whole life will do that I guess) it's something I'm still trying to learn and work on but I want to protect my daughter too so you can't imagine how much help it is to get outside perspectives so thank you all so much!

That's ok I understand, my advice is when it comes to your kids go all out, but stay within the law,
Other things get advice on if it's wise to go all out or not.
