Me and my boyfriend or ex should I say have been broken up since end of June neither of us was happy because the communication was terrible mostly his side so we then went cold on eachother .
Since we have been broken up he has gone off the rails drinking going out every night getting into fights etc etc he has put his mindset and behaviour down to mental health .
He has now contacted me with a clearer head (apparently )and said he wants us to get back together and has acknowledged the bad communication and wants to make things work .
I asked if he has been with anyone else during this time and he has told me he had a one night stand a few weeks ago . I’m struggling to accept this but he just says we wasn’t together which is true but if he would of acknowledged the situation a few months ago or sooner then it wouldn’t of had to come to this .
We also barely had sex in the past year but he has managed to fuck some random which for me is a kick in the teeth more then anything I think .

He’s an ex for a reason. So you’ve been split up for 2 months and he went off the rails drinking, going out every night, fighting and also managed to fuck someone else even though you said you two barely had sex when you were together.
So in the space of those 2 MONTHS, mind you, has he seen a therapist? Read any self-help books? Attended any classes or groups for anger management? Found ways to communicate better? Seen a doctor about his mental health? Has he done ANYTHING other than realise he’s a bum who is going nowhere in life and because he still wants free pussy/a home/food etc he decided to hit you up again?
Girl do you have ‘STUPID’ tattooed across your forehead? I didn’t think so.
As the saying goes, the universe will put you in the same situations over and over again until you learn the lesson! You must eliminate in order to evolve.

If he’s serious about you guys going back together ask him to seek professional help first
