Has anyone had Postpartum depression and found relief with their medication (or anything else honestly). I took SSRIs in college and had some pretty significant side effects that make me extremely hesitant to go to the OB and get prescribed Zoloft.

I’ve been battling anxiety and depression. I tried buspirone for a month and hated the side effects and how I felt and got off it. I take hydroxizine to sleep and if I need it during the day. I’m going to try the natural vitamin route and hope it helps. I was on Zoloft in my teens and hated it then too. It’s so hard when you want to feel better and the medications out there to help make you feel worse in other ways!

This is so not the answer I wanted to hear when I had it and probably not the answer anyone likes hearing, but what really helped me was 1.making sure I was eating and drinking enough! It’s so easy not to fuel your body postpartum! 2. Get outside/out of the house everyday! Even if just for a walk. 3. Take supplements! Especially magnesium! Your brain getting what it needs will help regulate hormones that help you feel happy! 💛 I hope it’s gets better soon!

YES!!!! I love my Zoloft. I started with 25mg for two weeks and am now taking 50mg. I feel like life is way easier to take on. I don’t feel I have any side effects, besides not being able to cry??? I had a lot of pp rage and anxiety. Now everything just feels like whatever if that makes sense but not to the point that it’s concerning imo!

If you had a bad experience with Zoloft there are other options. I found Lexapro worked best for me-it really helped level me out without any side effects.

Hi! I’m taking zoloft and I was reluctant at first, because I was having weird collateral effects, but after a week I started to feel better and I didn’t have bad rage anymore
