Irritated
My mother in-law and I had an argument just as baby was a few days old. The argument was about boundaries, personal space etc. which she kept interfering with.
My husband went round to theirs yesterday to make amends. She was defensive about why she said what she said. Regardless, hubby asked if we could start afresh after a month of not speaking or visiting.
Today we went over for the first time with baby. She held baby and was playing with him. She was making comments such as don't get angry (a comment she made to me and about me to my husband). I didn't react. My hubby heard but didn't say anything to her. We went home and I had a go at hubby as to why he's not standing up for us...
Was I overreacting?

Definitely not over reacting. You’re his family now. You and baby come first. And he definitely shouldn’t let anyone slide when it comes to disrespecting you.. even slightly

Definitely not! Unfortunately my partner is the same! I don't understand "men" that dont stick up for the wife's when their families over step the line! 😡
