Posting for advice/experiences. My husband and I were trying for our second (we have a little girl who will be 3 next month). It took a long time for me to decide on whether to have a second. I enjoy having just the one but my husband really wanted a second, and after a lot of consideration, I agreed we should try. Having twins wasn’t ever a consideration for me, but we booked a private scan and found out at 9 weeks we’re having twins. I know this is so ungrateful and awful of me to say, but I was genuinely sad and stressed so much by this. My husband is super excited about twins and keeps trying to reassure me that we will manage and it’ll be ok, but I can’t help worry about having 3 kids, how this will impact my daughters life, our life, and the twins themselves. I absolutely love having a toddler, I found the newborn stage so difficult so the thought of two newborns is petrifying for me. I’m 10w 3days now and after a long convo with my husband we’ve agreed that we will push through and what will be will be, and I am starting to feel more excited than scared.
Those that already have a toddler and found out you were having twins - how did you feel? How are you managing? Is it easier/harder than you thought? Any tips or words of advice?
I keep worrying I’m making the wrong decision by keeping them (I feel a lot of guilt for even considering abortion and don’t think I could personally do it anyway, especially with where I am now in the pregnancy).
Thanks for reading if you made it to the end!

I have a 3 year old, who will be 4 in December, and twins, who will be a month old tomorrow. My 3 year old loves her sisters so much and has generally settled into sharing her parents with two siblings very well. We had spoken to her very early on about her new sisters and how they would need things straight away.
With the twins I would suggest do everything at the same time. My twins are on a 3 to 4 hour routine where they feed at the same time, get changed and have their wake windows at the same time and honestly that has kept me sane. It also means that I have time with my older daughter 1 to 1 during that cycle.

I have a 4yo and my twins will be 5mo next week.
We found out at 6wks we were so in shock and I think my whole pregnancy I didn't really believe there were 2! I was scared but excited at the same time.
Our daughter has been brilliant with her brothers she loves them so much and helps out all the time.
I haven't found the newborn stage difficult as they are really good sleepers. As above said keep them synced to make your life easier. I'm ebf and for the first 2wks I was feeding them individually, now tandem feeding, and I felt like I didn't have a spare minute.
Honestly it's so much fun you get double of everything the smiles will keep you going!! You will be fine, sh*t will get hard at some point but you will just deal with it as thats what us mums do!
Good luck 🥰

I had twins after having 2 under 2. Then had another surprise baby, so had 4 under 4. It's never the right time for a baby but I think you will find that the twins take good care of each other, all the kids do really, and I couldn't imagine going back and not having them now but I felt similarly when I found out because it wasn't a planned pregnancy. I think you should do it scared. Have your babies and enjoy the beautiful wild blessing it is. Twins are so wonderful. You will have the most beautiful family. Im excited for you
