And I don't know how it got unblocked, I definitely didn't unblock him and my husband definitely didn't unblock him. I took his number going through as divine intervention. He told me he actually didn't expect me to answer and so he hadn't planned out what he wanted to say, but that he had had a revelation and that he needed to talk to me. I was at home depot trying to find hinges for a chest im refurbishing, and didn't realize I had stopped smack dab in the middle of the isle blocking the way and staring absently ahead. I asked him if I could call him back, we decided 7pm. It is currently 6:42pm. I feel like I am going to throw up, my heart is palpitating. I haven't seen him since a few days after my sons funeral, he was yelling at me in a thai restaurant on another one of his BPD loops where he recounted the many years of abuse he endured throughout his childhood. I would never stop someone from delivering an apology even if I have no intention of having them in my life, I believe that closure can allow people to move forward in their growth. No apology from him however can undo whats already been done to my amygdala, but it might get him a step closer to apologizing to my mom, who he owes much more than he owes me.
I just needed to get these words out into the void.

That sounds like such an overwhelming situation 😔🤍 You can be open to hearing an apology while still having absolutely no obligation to forgive him, rebuild a relationship or let him back into your life. You’re allowed to have boundaries around what happens after that conversation too.
Honestly, I’d just take the call one minute at a time and remember that you’re in control of the conversation. If it becomes too much, you can end the call. I hope you get whatever closure you need from it 🤍
