Was anyone's baby daddy not like great through pregnancy but actually fix up once baby arrived? To be a good dad and good partner?
In the depths of it right now almost 6 months pregnant with a planned baby, but baby dad has been pulling away, leaving the relationship becuase I think hes having a mental breakdown.

Honestly if they're already pulling away during pregnancy which is one of the times you need him most I would cut my losses. It's hard but in my experience if the going gets tough and they abandon you they will do it again. This is Coming from someone who was abandoned once allowed him to " fix it" and just got abandoned again with a second pregnancy and was abandoned in a very dramatic and hurtful way. Just be careful if I knew what I know now I would have never forgiven him and kept my distance. If mental health is the issue what work is he doing to cope? Is he actively working on himself in therapy?

Women become mothers while they’re pregnant, men become fathers when they see the baby. I thought it was bs when I heard that while pregnant, but I fear it is true. I think this is probably a pretty complex situation, but I would just try to give yourself grace. Your body is going through a lot of changes, as well as your mind. It’s hard for humans to adapt to change, and it’s probably just hitting him hard. Pregnancy and parenthood is really hard on relationships.

you will most definitely get your answer the moment you’re water breaks; if he is beside you holding you while u bring life into this world there u go but if he doesn’t u probably need to do what’s best for you and baby but they do have parents that live together but aren’t together but still are a family under one roof
