Is anyone else on the same boat? Whenever he is walking outside with us (park, shop, pavement etc) he just walks opposite direction and doesn't listen to to us. I think he takes it a game but he doesn't have any sense of fear and he would just walk away. How can we correct this?

Yep my boy is like this and i have a baby rein back pack for him. My oldest was never like that but my son is on a whole other level. I plan to make him wear the reins for safety. He has no fear, spacial awareness or anything really and just wants to explore which I love.
If its an unsafe area then I make sure he is in the pram otherwise open space - parks, open grass, places where no cars or hopefully cyclists then i let him walk but I'm always firm with him. No means no and if he won't listen its back in the pram.
I think like anything its a lot of patience and repetitiveness. Its not going to happen overnight but if you are consistent he will learn eventually. X
