Glucose test

I’m supposed to go this week for my glucose test and everyone says the drinks are horrible. I’m so nervous and I’ve been nauseous the entire pregnancy so far and don’t want to have to redo it or for me to puke. How was it for u guys?

I was apprehensive before mine too I really didn't want to feel sick drinking at as I was already nauseous from morning sickness. But it really wasn't that bad it wasn't as much liquid as I thought it would be either. The worst part is the waiting for 2hours. Take a book.

The lemon lime tasted like a flat sprite but the fruit punch was disgusting to me. Its not that bad and you can ask their flavors. Don't chug it, 5 minutes is really plenty of time. Let them know if you feel like your gonna get sick or feel like lightheaded

It really wasn’t so bad! Like a syrupy squash, mine was raspberry flavoured. It’s just water sugar and flavouring xx

The worst part of it is that you have to drink it so fast, it was too cold and too sweet to be drinking it that fast

Feeling pressured about having an epidural

I have Cystic Fibrosis and I am 27+5. My midwife requested an appointment with the anaesthetic doctor so I’ve been to that today and I feel like she’s forcing me to have the epidural when I really don’t want it. She says it’ll help with my lung capacity so she wants me to have the epidural straight away as soon as I’m in labour. However, my CF team have said I am and my lungs are healthy enough to give birth as a normal woman, so I can have gas and air etc. the anaesthetic doctor didn’t ask me what my lung function was or nothing. I’ve been so healthy the past 6 years so I really don’t think I need the epidural. I’m a bit of a push over so I feel like I will end up having the epidural even though I don’t want it. How do I get around this? It’s upset me and annoyed me at the same time cause she’s made me think I’m not healthy enough to give birth without the epidural

Eating

I'm 26 weeks, and already for a while I've been struggling to eat. I just feel like I'm full after a few mouthfuls. I know to eat little and often but I struggle to even do that! If I already feel like there's no room for any food in there, how am I going to make it to potentially 40 weeks?! I stopped putting on weight a few weeks ago now too. I see other pregnant women further along than me having no issues eating at all. Getting worried 😬

Anybody going through their pregnancy alone?

Just wondering. 15w and due March 12, 2027.

It’s just the beginning and this is one of the hardest things I’ve done!
