My baby is almost 10 weeks and I still feel like I’m so lost with wake windows and naps. She sleeps well when she does go for a nap but at this age how long are babies napping between their wake windows? Is anyone happy to share what they are doing for a baby of this age?

I’m a first time mummy to my 8 week old and the advice I have been given by my family is “don’t wake a sleeping baby”. If she is having loads of wet nappies and eating/drinking well, then she is doing good! I let my baby sleep and she wakes up when she is hungry or is wanting to be awake. She is having 6-7 bottles and sleeping for around 18 hours in a 24hr period. I use the ‘baby tracker’ app to track her eating, nappies and sleep and she is naturally starting to get into a routine. It shows you in graphs and totals everything up for you as well! Just remember there is no right or wrong way to look after your baby! Do what you feel is right for your baby as you know your baby!

Honestly I really wouldn’t stress!
I did this with my first and it caused more anxiety/ stress than helped anything tbh.
I would only start to track/ stress and start to pro actively plan when they’re around 5/6 months plus.
Enjoy these early weeks (as much as you can :)). Motherhood is hard enough- don’t need another app to remember to fill out. They will nap when they’re tired x

Our LO is 8 weeks old - absolutely no routine at this age! The *average* wake window during the day is apparently anything between 45m to 1h45m, but every baby is different and every day is different! Nap lengths vary throughout the day too (I let him wake naturally) 😊 it's so easy to get wrapped up in following strict timings, but honestly, they are so so little - they will eat and sleep when they're hungry and tired, and develop their own routine as time goes on!
