It is safe for pregnancy and for children. There is likely a reason for the long term prescription. Please talk to your provider about your concerns for medical reasons why you were prescribed this.

According to Google it’s safe and fine. So I’d just take it. Are you sure it’s for 90 days and not like multiple a day or something. Maybe it’s supposed to only be for a few weeks. I’d call the doctor and ask to make sure because you thought you shouldn’t take it at the end

Yes its for 90 days supply until I have my daughter but its because I had uti back to back my whole pregnancy . I'm confused honestly because antibiotics are generally used for a 7-10 day cycle.. im also aware I shouldn't take it when im 38 weeks and beyond because of the risk of hemolytic anemia even though my ob didn't bring up that risks to me .. I guess my ob means well however I don't think she's using the best judgment overall all things considered . I was thinking maybe I should take it 10 days max and then she should run another urinalysis..

I would raise these concerns with your OB, a 90 day course seems excessive as a preventative measure

I took it late third trimester and up until delivery for bad uti one pregnancy. If you have tried that medication and it didnt fix the uti, ask for something else.
