my son has been out of nappies for a few months now and he’s great at doing wees on the potty or toilet but he keeps pooping in his pants.
he doesn’t seem to acknowledge it or even know he’s doing it now but he was doing poos on the potty before. I’ve tried putting him on the potty after eating and at regular intervals to try help him but he just says he doesn’t need to poo and then 2 minutes later he does the poo in his pants!
i’ve tried talking to him about it after he’s done the poo trying to get him to make the link between the feeling and getting to the potty. I just don’t know what else to do and I can’t take the constant grossness of cleaning poo in pants. It’s really getting to me and i’m finding it really hard to stay calm and not show how frustrated I am.

Following because I’m going through the exact same with my 2.5 year old son 🥲

Are you using a potty or a toilet seat?
My son flat out refused to poo on a potty because it would touch his bum, but when we moved to a potty seat on the normal toilet he stopped having this issue!!!xx

My daughter was confident weeing on the potty for months before she starting pooing on it. I think it’s just a hang on in there situation? Sorry!
