We just explained it to him before hand and that it would hurt abit do he wasn't shocked. It's 2 injections, one in each arm. He asked for his dad so he took him in and cuddled him and he didn't even cry x

My daughter has had hers. We had some chocolate (a treat) for her to have after. Was fine in the room but after she felt very sorry for herself and didn’t feel that great the next day. Had a slight temperature and it caused a cold.

Our's just had it last week, he didn't even flinch and didn't cry, some complaining of pain in arms few hours later- calpol helped, he also had a fever later that night which responded well to calpol he was completely fine the next day.

My boy got a red and swollen upper arm for a few days but no other side effects. Cried a little during but the nurse was amazing and like others said, talked about it beforehand and had a treat waiting afterwards.

My LO had a jab a few months ago. Yes, I was anxious too. I didn’t know how he would take it. I just explained him where we go and the whole process. I didn’t tell him that it would be painful or any assumptions. He was crying too much, mostly because of the fear. When we came out at that moment I asked him about his feelings and how was that for him. He didn’t have no fever however he complained of the pain in the arm. I’m happy that he was absolutely fine afterwards and of course he had a new car))) Wish you all the best! The most important is for the parents to stay calm and supportive.

We did not tell her anything. She was perfectly fine. By the time she realised what was going on, it was done. The doctor did ask her to choose a sticker she can have after and actually she was given 3 in the end as she was so good. It should be perfectly fine. She said it was just a pinch. Good luck!

We tried all the prep, talking about it, watching cartoons about vaccines, but it was horrendous for my son. The first one really made him cry then when the nurse came at him with the second needle he really screamed and my husband had to hold him still. He was very upset and not himself for the remainder of the day, he fell asleep on the sofa which he never does anymore, said his arms were a bit sore later that day, but was pretty much back to normal the following day x

Car seats

What the fuck is that.
Looks like no seat belt, just some bar thing, and a kid that’s small enough to be rear facing in a forward only car seat?? Someone tell me there’s more to this and it’s not as crazy as it looks

Plane seat purchase

Why are we having to pay extra for seats?! I really can't afford to add any more on to the expense. So I'm going to check in, and hope we are next to each other. We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children.
How likely is it that we will be split - and staff care enough to give seats together? Please let me know if this has happened to anyone. I really can't be adding £300 more just for tickets.

Breastfeeding or screaming - no in between

When it comes to our late afternoon and evening feeds, we seem to hit the same problem; he just won’t unlatch! Baby boy is 5 weeks and will just chew on my nipple, I assume to soothe, and if I ever try to take him off he screams. He’ll even be falling asleep and still hates it, and then won’t sleep at all!

Any one experienced something similar and know how to work around this? I’m sore and need a small bit of my evenings back!

Sleep training tips

Can anyone share how you sleep trained your babies without letting them cry it out? My LO is currently almost 5 months but absolutely refuses to fall asleep on his crib on his own.

Snoring

How do I stop a man snoring so I can actually sleep for once please. If he goes to sleep first I am fucked essentially. I’m so fed up I’m exhausted. He’s so loud it’s concerning but the doctor just keeps saying take antihistamines 😭😭😭 yeah we’ve tried them dumb nose strips and all that stuff. Im also pregnant so the exhaustion is just hitting extra hard, I can’t cope with my toddler on one hour of sleep again after he’s left for work😭

Period has come back!

To my surprise my period came back today!😭 Little bit concerned as I’m only 8 weeks post c-section and my baby is breastfed other than 2 feeds at 8pm and 12pm. Has anyone else got their period back yet? I was expecting another good few months!
