When it comes to our late afternoon and evening feeds, we seem to hit the same problem; he just won’t unlatch! Baby boy is 5 weeks and will just chew on my nipple, I assume to soothe, and if I ever try to take him off he screams. He’ll even be falling asleep and still hates it, and then won’t sleep at all!
Any one experienced something similar and know how to work around this? I’m sore and need a small bit of my evenings back!

I have no advice, but I experienced the same. The exact reason why I quit breastfeeding at 5 weeks 5 days.. i couldn't keep up because I have a two year old toddler. I get help from the government here with formula, so I have not had to purchase any. He's 8 weeks now and a much happier baby. And more full. I believe my supply plummeted, and he was going through a growth spurt.

Not necessarily a supply thing. Im exclusively expressing milk so I know she has plenty and my baby has started doing this today too im so stressed
Yeah, sadly I don’t think it’s a supply thing and rather a behavioural type thing with us (I’m currently squirting milk lol).
He’ll sleep in the sling but it’s 8pm and I just don’t think either of us want to have to wear him. Perhaps that’s just what we’ve got to deal with now?

Sometimes my husband takes our 3.5 weeks old and would give her his little finger tip to suck on so she gets comfort without a constant feeding which is both horrendously tiring for me and for their tiny stomachs... I guess that is why people use dummies but since I didn't have one myself and feel it is such a strain to undo the habit... My first didn't have one either.
They also sometimes just need to.cluster feed...and that window from 5pm is never joke. Have you tried having them in a sling and do a bit of ricking/singing while doing your own stuff?
Gave birth 3 days ago, very traumatic. Lost a lot of blood, didn’t get induced as planned.
Girl is very sensitive to startle reflux, we have had 1.24 hours sleep last night as she won’t settle in her next to me crib.
We have tried swaddling which didn’t work and a grow bag. She is doing it every 30 seconds and scares herself. Bottled fed as BF for the first 2 days after birth but I cannot continue. Does anyone have any solutions?

Hate to be this person as I see so many babies/mamas on here being affected by this sleep regression but my baby is 20 weeks on Thursday and so far, we haven’t really struggled with nighttime sleep, she sleeps through and has done since 10 weeks. We are only really struggling with daytime naps (being super short). Has the nighttime sleep regression been delayed for any one else? Or have I just got really lucky?

Has anybody else not only had postnatal depression, but thought they would get it even before giving birth?
I’m 36 weeks pregnant at the moment and with this pregnancy and my first one I’ve had a lot of mental instability I’ve had anxiety attacks, panic attacks, feelings that I don’t deserve to have a baby after we had a termination five years ago, I have intrusive thoughts, nightmares at night about hurting the baby, dropping the baby and comments from my partner that he doesn’t want the baby that I forced him into having our second.
I just feel like because he hasn’t been interested in this pregnancy he’s done literally nothing to help me and we do have a bit of a rocky relationship. I already feel so overwhelmed and ignored and stressed and depressed and I’m just getting into my head now that I won’t be able to connect with this new baby all this experience it just made me think it was a mistake and we haven’t done the right thing. I want this baby more than anything a little boy after we’ve had a girl I just feel myself spiralling into this hole and yeah, I’ve got good support around me and I’ve got friends and family that live close but I just feel like this baby is gonna arrive and I’m just gonna feel so down and disconnected and I won’t be able to be a good mum I feel like I’ve just checked out mentally at the moment. And I feel really guilty knowing this baby will be here in a few weeks.

I cosleep with my 13 month old on a floor bed for the second half of the night. He's an early riser, often up at 5am, fully awake and ready for the day. I'm dying. This alone has me thinking about sleep training and night weaning so that I can get some extra sleep. Anyone have any advice?

My babies nearly 11 months. And suddenly gone off drinking milk before sleeps. Any one else having this issue? He has milk before bed but not half as much as he used to, and sometimes before naps he flat out refuses it. Is this just him getting older?
