8 week jabs

Have paracetamol for baby on hand might develop a temp. We were told either they going to sleep through this or they’re going to be fussy. Mine developed bit if temp over night but nothing paracetamol didn't sort

my little one had his yesterday. his temp spiked but i got it down with calpol and having him in just a sleepsuit, no vest underneath and no sleepsack/blanket. His been very sleepy so far today. Babies might also feed a bit less so offer it more often if that’s the case.

Each of my babies reacted differently. My first 3 got temps, my eldest ate more and my second ate the same but my third ate a lot less and slept more due to it, but my youngest didn't get a temp and got cramps from the rotavirus vaccine instead and was fussy as hell and in a lot of discomfort. Gave Calpol to all of temp was present and a dose 6 hours later, my youngest got Calpol to help ease her discomfort

My son didn’t get a temp but had calpol as soon as he’d had his jabs and kept layers minimal. He was very clingy though and had a 5 hour contact nap. Didn’t sleep very well that night though

My little man had his last week. We gave him calpol after the doctor before the nurse. He had his jabs and he was fine for a few hours. Thought we’d got away with it like our other 2 boys. Nope. He was super fussy. Ended up going for a walk in the pram then he was fussy again so swapped to baby carrier and he fell asleep. Thought it was going to be a long night but he had a bottle and slept perfectly. The next day he didn’t have any symptoms was just a bit fussy and his little legs hurt if knocked.

Don’t just worry about baby. Make sure you look after yourself too. If you need to step away for 5 then do so ♥️

I’m just back from taking my 8 week old for her first jags this morning. I was advised to give calpol about 45 minutes before the appointment and then 2 further doses 4-6 hours after as you want to try prevent the temperature, not just treat it.

Mine had his Monday at 1pm. He had calpol about 1.30 with his bottle, had a nap and was a bit grumpy for the rest of the day. Had more calpol at 5.30 and 10 then slept the night. Tuesday he was back to his normal happy self but still a bit tender on his legs and drank less than normal. I gave him calpol first thing in the morning and last thing before bed. Today we’re back to normal like nothing ever happened. He had a slight fever but otherwise fine
