Weight loss in gymmmm

Back at the gym. I go 4/5 times a week and love it. I am doing mainly weight/resistance training. I do certain body parts on certain days. I know I need to incorporate cardio for weight loss but how much cardio?

I go for walks daily - time depending on kids moods 😅

Any help? I'm so motivated and feel shit when I havent been to the gym so any advice welcome !

Does your gym do classes? I love the Pilates/zumba/peloton/trampoline classes, it gets my daily steps up and it burns SO much more calories than just gym alone I find. The ENERGY emanating from the instructor and everyone else in the class is alive and addictive, I think that’s why I love them so much. I did Zumba/Pilates for 2yrs, lost 44lbs in that time, then I jumped over to salsa and bachata dance classes but also for social life as it was held at the club on a Friday night (I get to dress up as well) Maybe change one of the gym days and go to a class. Twice a week should be sufficient for weightloss coz you’re also doing gym on other days.

I hit my goals with weight training, 10k steps and macro tracking. I threw in a 5k jog to get some cardio in and quickly hit my step goal for the day and it worked out. You are doing a lot! 10 min jog on the treadmill to round out the workout would help.

How much cardio is dependent on your calorie intake, in order to lose weight you’ll need to be in some kind of deficit since you work out so much it shouldn’t have to be a whole lot
