i’m eight weeks pregnant i live independently with my partner 2 hours away from all our family and i have such anxiety about telling my family im pregnant. i’m only 20 soon to be 21. im most scared to tell my mum, grandad and stepdad. i know my dad and stepmom will be supportive because they were when we lost our first baby. does anyone have any advice on how to approach the situation because my mum wasn’t happy at all when we last were pregnant back in february and i was actively miscarrying when i told her. i dont know what to do or say as we are not back in our home town so often. going back in early october so any advice would be great on how to approach that conversation with people that have that like older generation thought process. also like stupidly worried it’s going to ruin things like my birthday and christmas if there’s not a good atmosphere i know that’s probably silly

I’d be really anxious too, especially after having to tell your mum last time while you were going through your miscarriage. ❤️ I can completely understand why you’re worrying about their reactions already.
I’d probably tell them in person when you’re back home, with your partner there for a bit of support. You don’t need to make it into a big speech, just tell them you’re pregnant, you’re happy and you wanted them to hear it from you.
And honestly, worrying about your birthday and Christmas isn’t silly 😂 when you’re already nervous about how someone will react, your brain starts thinking about every possible scenario afterwards too. Hopefully they surprise you ❤️
