So I fell ill a few days ago and tried to be as careful as possible but honestly I know it was inevitable and my baby is now ill. He has a blocked runny nose, and a small cough (from the mucus) and thankfully no fevers or anything as of yet. Any tips would be amazing as I feel terrible. And am trying to help him as much as possible.

No tips but i'm following, woke up feeling quite ill and i'm with my baby 24/7 so she's going to catch it soon too..

Mine has just recovered from a cold, idk if you are breastfeeding but if you are, give the most recent milk as it has the most recent antibodies to help them fight it. Also a saline nasal spray helps clear the mucus in their nose and i didnt do this, but it says a humidifier helps too. Honestly just give lots of cuddles. I was dreading his first illness but he was okay

My boys have had 3 🤦🏼♀️
Snot sucker
Nasal spray
Vapour bath
Calpol plug in
Calpol if needed (they may get a sore throat aswell so not necessary needed just for a fever)

We’re in the same boat, it’s all saline nose spray and calpol vapour plugins around here this week. I bought a nebuliser with my older one, we’ve not used it with the baby yet but it’s really helpful for bad nights. We have the omron one but I’ve seen from a friend that Frida makes one.

Mine is full of cold still a week later. I find letting him contact nap on me/in the carrier helps to give him a good sleep as he is so blocked up. I put a little olbas oil near his crib at night and I have raised his crib slightly. He was sick a few times due to the mucus building up

We just got through first cold using saline nasal spray before feeding as baby struggled to feed with a blocked nose.
Calpol and snufflebabe also worked well.
My friend swears by the calpol plug ins for her children who are older but they’re only suitable from 6 months.
