when does the spark come back?

I have lost all spark. Right before i found out i was pregnant, i had just hit my goal weight of 160lbs from 300lbs in just under a year. Since then, i have gained some weight back but really don’t know how since i eat the same. I am the sole caregiver 6/7 days a week and have so much stress and exhaustion from working full time, online school, door dashing (for extra cash), and being mom and dad most of the time as my husband works evenings but doesn’t help me much with anything else. I feel like i’m running on fumes and just want to be the best for my boy! he’s all i care about. i’ve lost all care about myself. how do i feel like a women again. idek now.
yes i know, my husband sucks.

Aww, sorry to hear you’re going through this, hun. I’ve noticed since having my baby 4 months ago that I gain weight so easily now also and it’s so much harder to lose weight now than before. It’s our hormones and all the metabolic changes that come with being postpartum (especially if you’re breastfeeding), which changes how our bodies store fat.

The only thing that has worked for me are these delicious shakes I saw on instagram that are kind of like meal replacements, except they’re packed with nutrients. You mix them with water or milk (I use water, they’re already quite rich and I’m not trying to add more calories) and they’re 242 calories, so you replace them with 2 meals a day (I have them for breakfast and lunch and have my real dinner). They put you at a calorie deficit, which helps you lose weight, while tasting really good.

Let me know if you’d like the link to the shakes x

Sadly, you need to assign him chores to do in the house. It is not fair that you are handling all that stress. Write out all the chores and make him pick some. You guys are supposed to be a unit. At this point, it seems like you are a married single mother. I wouldn’t find a man attractive either if he wasn’t helping me out either. I’d drive that point home.

Guilt over leaving having children so late in life

I have such intense regret about leaving having my child so late, I’m 40 and he’s now 6 months old. I wish I’d had him 10 + years ago, I feel like such a fool that I’ve missed out on so much time with him. I was too busy at a job that ultimately doesn’t matter and studying for a qualification I probably won’t ever use.

Not sure of the point of this post, I wondered if anybody else has the same feelings.

when I bring it up to my partner he just says nothing you can do about it which I know is right. I need to just get over it and enjoy my time.

I feel so bad.

Today has been the worst, it started out pretty good I took my little boy to get milkshakes and we went to the park but somehow this afternoon he got a burn on his hand and I wasnt sure what to do so I took him to the hospital, then we went to eat and I told him so many times to stop climbing up the booth seat and he eventually fell and slammed his head into the table. Im very pregnant and in a massive amount of pain so I just got frustrated and overwhelmed while my husband grabbed our son. After he sat our kid back down and we started cleaning things up to leave, he went right back to climbing and I told him to sit down with "the mom voice" and 2 girls called me abusive. I swear im not but he doesn't listen and its more frustrating that he goes right back to doing the thing he just got hurt from 2 seconds before. Its so hard to sit and watch your kid do something over and over knowing they will get hurt. Especially when no consequence works. Sometimes I feel like i need a toddler straight jacket so he will sit down and stop doing things that will hurt him because i cant catch or save him every time. Im already on top of him 24/7 it feels like.

Meals

How many meals is your 10 month old having? I’m really struggling with getting my daughter to eat anymore than 1 meal & a few snacks. She’s still having 3 7oz bottles and 1 10oz (bedtime)

Husbands buddies at our home

My husband has a buddy flying in tomorrow morning & another buddy flying in Sat morning until Sunday. Their plan is to hang out here at our home until their football game Sunday.. All was fine until we realized my husband forgot to adjust his work schedule for tomorrow AND Saturday. So a likely chance he will get called in and it could be anywhere from a few hours to all day.

His buddies are cool. But I have zero interest in hanging out, let alone having them in our home if my husband is gone. Not for any particular reason other than Mom burnout? Idk. Because they are his friends? I don't want to get stuck having to entertain? I'm already annoyed. My husband doesn't seem bothered nor like he is going to find a solution for if he has to work.

Suggestions? I'm 6mo pregnant and have two younger kids. I love my privacy and space so already feeling like I'm not going to be able to fake their company if my husband has to go into work 🙄😂
