Considering VBAC !

Hello Everyone !

I am expecting my second child in January 2027. My prior delivery was a c-section and I would really like to try for vaginal delivery this time around. Anyone had success with VBAC after one c section. Of course Uterine Rupture is my main concern.

How close are your pregnancies? If they are super close I wouldn’t recommend it at all just simply because you’re at a high risk of rupture rather than waiting for awhile. I hope the best for you none of my OBs would allow it for me.

All the medical professionals and doulas I’ve spoken to say go for it, the medical community has come a long way and has made it safer.

I had a successful vbac and my daughters are 27 months apart. I did a lot more yoga with my second pregnancy and also was induced at 39 weeks instead of waiting until I was almost 42 weeks so my baby was smaller the second time. They still had to use forceps but it was a better recovery experience than my first birth and pushing 3 hours and ending up in c section.

I’m in the same boat. My hospital (which also houses the family practice) has a special doctor that will see me closer to the due date to do some tests and physical exam to determine whether I’m a good VBAC candidate. I don’t remember what type of doctor it is, my OB will set it up for me. Maybe ask your OB if that’s something your practice offers. (My last pregnancy was Dec 2023.)

VBAC after 2 c sections

Hi everyone. My daughter is 13 months old and I have her via c section last August due to failure to progress. Everything else was fine apart from that. My son is 10 and I had a c section with him too. I want to start trying for another baby next year and would really love to hear if anyone had any positive stories about a vbac after 2 c sections x

Munchkin Bottle

Feeling very guilty that I didn’t realise sooner!
That my munchkin cup was mouldy😭
I wash with warm soapy water etc but it has gone awful!!!

Reminder to everyone to check with cups with seals like this🥴

Big baby

I’ve just had a growth scan at 36+3 and baby is currently weighing 8lbs 1oz.
I have a consultation appointment tomorrow to discuss further. My first was born at 39+3 and weighed 8lbs 3oz (I was induced) so I’m quite shocked at nearly 3 and a half weeks to go he’s so big. Did anyone else have something similar to this and how did it work out?

Morning C-section

Last time I was an afternoon elective C-S, went in for 2pm and baby born at 5pm. This time I have to be there for 7 30 am
What time did your c-s end up happening if you had a morning elective? I know it can vary but still curious if there's an average 🤔

Lip balm during labour?

Hey all. So many people have told me that I should definitely pack lip balm in my hospital bag because of the warmth and getting dehydrated.

But I've also read that you can't use most lip balms with gas and air because of the ingredients (usually petroleum jelly etc).

So does anybody have recommendations for safe lip balms to use, or is it a total no go?
