Should I care what’s been said

I went to see my midwife today I’m 24 weeks pregnant
I have a daughter & expecting a second in the new year
I’ll be 42
I said we’d like to have 1 more
Hopefully try for a boy
The midwife suggested I don’t due to age!
I have no complications in either pregnancy & both were naturally conceived
I’ll probably be closer to 44/45 if we are successful again

Thoughts???

Hey Congratulations 🙌 Hmmm that’s a very interesting suggestion of her ? 🤔 if this is how u feel and ur health and heart are saying yes then go for it girl and don’t listen to anyone . It’s ur life and ur choice and hope third time u get lucky with a boy xx

I can see how what she said, stings, but I wouldn’t get too upset about it. She’s speaking from a medical perspective. As we age, egg quality, diminishes and it’s a fact. And as the quality diminishes, chromosomal abnormalities become more likely. I think her way of saying it was a shorthand way, but of course everyone is free to do what they please.

If you want to try for a third, go for it!
