Induction nerves

Feeling very anxious over my induction on Thursday. I’m so ready to meet this little guy, but now I’m feeling very anxious and just terrified that something is going to go wrong. I’ve had two unmedicated births, they both went very quick, but this one is an introduction, due to multiple factors, doctor and I opted for an induction for the safety of me and baby. One of those factors is GBS, which I’ve never had before, so I just have a lot of anxiety about these antibiotics, not necessarily the antibiotic itself, but the fact that I’ll be hooked up and unable to do a lot of the techniques and things I’m used to during labor. And plus since my labors have been really quick, I’m also just really worried that baby will not get the full dose and we will have to stay there for a long time, and that they might separate us. My hospital apparently does not like to keep patient longer than necessary, so i’m worried they might want to keep baby, but not me. Is that something that has happened or can happen? Please share your GBS stories, just need some reassurance. I know this is the right move, but I’ve never given birth in a hospital before, and having to be on those Pitocin and antibiotics is just making me really anxious.

Not me personally, but my mom had GBS with one of my sisters and it was a very fast labor (not induced) but I don't think there was any issues with getting the antibiotic administered in the short time she was laboring and they were both safely out of the hospital at the same time. I know they did some extra tests during the hospital stay to make sure baby was okay but they didn't do much separating or holding onto baby. I'll be praying for you!
