Hey my bub didnt poo for nearly 3 days but it can be normal. Ill pop below what the health visitor said to me :)
"Try making the feeds up with the water added first and then the powder.
Lots of babies have these kind of issues in the first few weeks. There is something called dyschezia and it's where babies don't have the co ordination to pass stools in the early weeks. They can be uncomfortable and cry with this.
The things that you are already doing such as cycling the knees to the chest and tummy massage will help. You can also make sure you are doing lots of tummy time ( this can be on your chest) and a warm bath can also help.
The pre made formula can sometimes help babies open their bowels too so giving one bottle of this a day will help her open her bowels.
The stools should be soft and a bright."
Hope this helps 😊

It can be normal but best to check, if she has at least peed then there is no cause of concern I believe

My LO was the same the midwife said if she hasn't passed in so many days she may need to get a suppository to help but she always passed before the time.

A nice warm bath always helped my oldest when he struggled to poop ... Just be prepared for cleaning the bath and a rapid water change 🤣

My midwife told me to put my LO on ready made formula bottles when they’re constipated and it worked in the end

My midwife told me to seek advice from them if baby hasn't pooped in 2 days, this is for breast feeding

At 2 weeks old, my baby boy went 72 hours without doing a poo. I was so worried, but eventually it happened:
It will happen eventually and a lot of people say it can be normal, but always trust your mother’s instinct and call your midwife or healthcare professional if you’re worried or feel like something isn’t right

I think the advice tends to differ on who you see. The dr will see you after 2 days and might advise cooled boiled water in-between feeds. When I spoke to the midwife after 3 days she said as long as he was weeing she would say call Dr on day 5. I've always used colostrum and that tends to get the bowel going within a few hours x
My baby is almost 4 months, she was always so happy and smiley but recently she SQUEALS!!! if she’s not squealing, she’s crying, no matter what we do.
When we pick her up, she wants to move every two seconds and stiffens up and screams at us to move her, in the car, play gym, in her swing chair.. it’s relentless!!!
Anybody else experienced this?? I’m worried (although I hope not!) that because I never let her “self soothe” and responded to every sound she’s made that I may have spoiled her like people said and I laughed at?
Pic of my usually smiley girl so we don’t get lost 🩷

FTM to a 7 week old who has been incredibly chilled up to now bar problems with wind. From 6 weeks old he has been crying none stop and will only soothe with contact naps. I am unable to put him down and even on me he seems to wake up screaming crying for no apparent reason. He is absolutely fine at night but day times are a different story and he seems to go through a cry - feed - contact nap - cry- feed cycle until he goes down at night. I know this must be a phase but I am STRUGGLING. is anyone else going through the same thing?

When buying bottles did you commit to one brand or did you buy a few packs of different brands for baby to try out?
I work in a nursery so over the years I’ve developed preferences over bottles, I’m not a huge fan of tommee tippee, I like mam and I love the nuk ones.
I found some adorable Winnie the Pooh nuk bottles but I’m unsure whether I should just commit and buy multiple packs as I’m worried that what if the baby hates the teet or bottle? But if I just commit to one would they take to that one because it’s all they will know? How did it work out for you?

I understand contact naps are normal- my baby is 11 weeks and still requiring them. As he will be coming up to 3 months soon, I want to slowly start practicing having him nap independently. He has to feel me or else once I put him down he wakes up.
Im embracing contact naps and want to be skin to skin as much as he does lol. However I’m a solo mum so sometimes I need to put him down so I can for example make food for myself.
After 3 months does the independence start to happen?
