Would you take your 6 month old to the dentist/hygienist with you?

I don’t have anyone to look after my daughter so I will take her with me to the hygienist so she will have to wait in her pushchair in the room with me and I’m worried she’s going to fuss the whole time and I won’t be able to relax!

I did that when my daughter was around 8 months, it was the only way I could have go to the dentist. I just called them prior to let them know if that was ok. She was good, the dentist and her assistant where keep her occupied by taking to her.

That’s kids, they will fuss and tantrum but it’s good she comes with you. Good to get out even for errands.

Yeah I would and have done so many many times. I’d try to feed right before going and maybe have it line up with sleeping and hopefully baby can sleep during the appointment

I've done it. The entire staff came in and fussed over her. They took her for walks around the office

I did it with my 2-month-old. My dentist actually said they recommend bringing little ones in as soon as possible to get them used to the setting, smells, kit etc and so they can see it’s not anything to be scared of.

Yep. Do this all the time!

Absolutely. It’s the best way to make sure LO is comfortable & familiar with going to the dentist.
If you don’t have anyone with you, then one of the nurses could hold LO, unless it’s preferred they sit in the pram.

Yes. When I had my 1st I was a single mom, my son went to all my appts with me

I had to take her when she was around 7 months to have a filling replaced and it traumatised her. She cried and cried and I couldn’t get to her because they had to finish what they were doing first.
I was in tears, she was hysterical. Never again. She was then scared and cried at anything that sounded like the dentist machines
