Hey guys my baby girl is 4 days old today we are absolutely smitten with her and are in absolute awe. Atm she is struggling to sleep by herself in her next to me she wakes up so many times during the night for a number of reasons I believe we are in the deep end of the newborn trenches aswell as this my breasts are like bricks and constantly leaking (not sure if I may have mastitis and am recovering from a c section that that was not planned but happened due to an unsuccessful induction and difficult labour process the c section also didnt go as smooth as anyone hoped it would of done. I suppose I am dealing with the newborn baby blues.

Sounds like a newborn! Hang in there, it gets easier. Keep feeding and/or pumping to get that milk out!

Totally normal , it gets a little harder before it gets better but you got this !!

Hey , maybe you should pump ? For the engorgement. And ice your boobs !! Kinda makes them feel better ! New bones wake up a lot as they’re adjust to the new environment!! Takes a lot of bravery to go from being side/with mommy at day every day to being alone, without wrist oneself is used to and away from mom to sleep. Give it time. And for the crying at night, mine struggles with her digestive system real bad, took time to develop and for her to be okay.

It does get better! My little one couldn’t settle in her next to me when she was first born, I think it’s because there’s so much space and they’re used to being snuggled up inside us. We found putting her Moses basket into the next to me crib helped her sleep as there’s not so much room - it’s cosier.
