Be patient. Try to get rest ahead of time. If they give you pitocin they will come check on you and often! (Happened to me). They said get some rest but we’re back to check on me after that was given it seemed like every hour. Finally they backed off and said baby doesn’t like this, so we’ll give you a break and let you get some sleep. 😴

Have your support person play music you like once baby is ready to make an appearance. Helps stay motivated to push. Don’t be afraid to get the epidural, but don’t be pressured into it if you don’t want it.

Hiya hun I would say listen to your body always !! Also advocate for yourself if you feel uncomfortable or anything at all speak up I was 9cm dilated doctors tried to force me to do a c section as baby was back to back and he said I won’t be able to dilate anymore and baby won’t be able to come out but my body was telling me different I was ready to push so I advocated for myself and literally a hour later baby was born vaginaly oh also keep moving and use the peanut ball that helped me a lot

So for induction itself if it's pitocin I just did that almost 3 weeks ago it wasn't bad at all (I'm a first time mom so have nothing to compare it to) I got induced about 9:30 am my baby girl came at 8:58pm (ik it's different for everyone) move around while you can tho! It'll help with early contractions and after pitocin could also help speed things up (at least I feel like it did a little. Definitely have some to help distract you and to remind you to breathe (if it wasn't for my mom I swear I think I would have forgotten to breathe) I wish you the best of luck I hope that helped you a little

Just get mentally prepared that it might last much longer than you’d think, depending what methods they use and how busy they are. I started induction process on Sunday and my baby wasn’t born until Wednesday.

Depending on how dilated you are will determine how long everything goes. That and your baby. I was 4cm dilated and my water broke before my induction so when I went in and contractions hadn’t started they gave me pitocin I was not wanting the epidural until I had those pitocin contractions so I would say be open minded to an epidural. For me it took 12 hours from the time my water broke until I pushed my baby out but I was pushing two and a half hours. (My little had face presentation not a super common thing)

Just found out we’re having a baby girl 🩷

So excited that we just had a private gender scan at 15+4! Confirmed everything was okay with little girl, strong heartbeat of 149bpm and all her organs, bones etc are looking good and healthy so far!
I have my 16 week midwife appointment this afternoon as well, so feels like the most exciting new-mum day ever!
Just wanted to share how excited I am!
Any other early April mums know the gender yet? 🩷🩷

Early gender test

Has anyone done the early gender blood tests? I was told you can do them as early as 7 weeks just wanted to see if anyone has had them done before and if they turned out to be accurate ?

Third trimester 😭

Hey, mommy friends! 🫶🏽 I’m currently in my third trimester with baby #3, due December 7th, and whew… why is it SO hard this go-round?! 😩

Are there any other mamas just pushing through these last few weeks, too? I would genuinely love to connect with someone who understands this season so we can get through it together. We can be exhausted together, talk through the mood swings, complain about all the aches and pains, and still share those little moments of excitement as we get closer to meeting our babies. 🥹

Honestly, I’ve been feeling pretty lonely this pregnancy, even though I have a super supportive husband and two little ones who are always trying their best to help Mommy out. 🫶🏽 Sometimes, I think you just need someone who’s going through the same thing and can truly relate to how you’re feeling.

So, if you’re in your third trimester, expecting around the same time, or just need a mama friend to lean on, let’s connect! We don’t have to go through these last few weeks feeling alone. We can encourage each other, check in on one another, and count down to meeting our little blessings together. 🤰🏽

4 weeks 4 days

So happy to find out I am pregnant again. I have a four year old little boy who I know will be the best big brother. I miscarried in April and it was the worst experience I just hope this baby sticks. It’s so wanted ❤️
