The Braxton hicks hurt! People lie and say they don’t. You can get sciatic pain constantly. Your feet can go up a shoe size.
Morning sickness is basically a lie, it’s all the time but lemonade helps

That contractions feel like period cramps on steroids!

This might seem a bit harsh but coming from a good place. So many people tell you to only look up positive birth experiences so you don’t freak yourself out and I 100% understand that so that’s what I did! But then I ended up giving myself a completely unrealistic expectation. Looking back now my birth experience was fine and my baby girl and I were healthy, however because it didn’t feel as straight forward as all of these stories I’d read it ended up being very stressful. I have a c section and watch so many videos of girls getting up and walking around a few hours afterwards which is so realistic for most people but then when it wasn’t the case for me it broke my heart. Seems silly looking back, I should have given myself more grace. So my honest advice is while pregnancy and birth is a blessing and is beautiful, it is also not always easy AND THATS OK!! Hope you’re having a wonderful pregnancy ❤️❤️

I literally have a list of things I learned from YouTube during pregnancy that nobody told me about in my notes app. Here’s some of them.

- All the bloodwork you have to do. people with needle phobia or just hate bloodwork should be aware before conception 😭 I literally said during pregnancy that this might be my only baby because of all the bloodwork and panic attacks it caused me.

- the gestational diabetes test, you have to drink a sugar drink and then get bloodwork done an hour later. So you just sit at the doctor for a whole hour, and can’t leave the building (at least at mine you couldn’t leave the building) They couldn’t get my blood after i drank it so they let me do a finger prick after every meal for a week. Nobody told me that was an option BEFORE they tried to get the blood.

- 36-38 wk GBS test……. Swab in your gine AND your bootyhole.

No one told me you’d have cramps while breastfeeding or pumping.

Third trimester 😭

Hey, mommy friends! 🫶🏽 I’m currently in my third trimester with baby #3, due December 7th, and whew… why is it SO hard this go-round?! 😩

Are there any other mamas just pushing through these last few weeks, too? I would genuinely love to connect with someone who understands this season so we can get through it together. We can be exhausted together, talk through the mood swings, complain about all the aches and pains, and still share those little moments of excitement as we get closer to meeting our babies. 🥹

Honestly, I’ve been feeling pretty lonely this pregnancy, even though I have a super supportive husband and two little ones who are always trying their best to help Mommy out. 🫶🏽 Sometimes, I think you just need someone who’s going through the same thing and can truly relate to how you’re feeling.

So, if you’re in your third trimester, expecting around the same time, or just need a mama friend to lean on, let’s connect! We don’t have to go through these last few weeks feeling alone. We can encourage each other, check in on one another, and count down to meeting our little blessings together. 🤰🏽

Just found out we’re having a baby girl 🩷

So excited that we just had a private gender scan at 15+4! Confirmed everything was okay with little girl, strong heartbeat of 149bpm and all her organs, bones etc are looking good and healthy so far!
I have my 16 week midwife appointment this afternoon as well, so feels like the most exciting new-mum day ever!
Just wanted to share how excited I am!
Any other early April mums know the gender yet? 🩷🩷

Pregnancy and blood thinners

After my last pregnancy they discovered a clot in my lung post C-section, I was very unwell and felt awful. Any future pregnancies I will now be considered high risk and on blood thinners as well as the likelihood of reoccurring gestational diabetes. My question is, can I hear from some of you who were on blood thinners the entire pregnancy and how this effected birth/c sections? I really want another child but genuinely scared that I will bleed to 💀
