Hand Foot Mouth

Anyone have to deal with hand foot mouth?? My 15-month-old had really red swollen toes that were bothering her yesterday and she woke up today with little red dots on her hands and feet and up her legs. Pediatrician diagnosed her with hand-foot-mouth and said ibuprofen every 6 hours. Any other tips to help her?
Her feet are driving her crazy like they are itchy and her throat looks so sore :( all doctor recommend was the ibuprofen. Wondering if anyone used any lotions or creams to help with what seems like itchy or sore feet?

All my school kids have it and the baby

Both my kids had it- honestly just ibuprofen and then once the sores turned into peeling skin I put Vaseline on it

I used calamine lotion on my son when he had hand foot and mouth helped a ton with the itchiness.
Just dip a q tip and put them on each sore

Cold soft foods can help with the sore throat, think cold apple sauce or cold yogurt. warm baths with oatmeal in it can help with itchiness.

My son had it at 7 months old and it didnt seem to bother him but I also got it and it was my worst nightmare, I would not wish it on anyone. What helped me was ice packs and ice baths for my feet. I also felt alcohol hand sanitizer helped by putting it on and not rubbing it in but to air dry.

We did baths with baking soda added to the tub, doused in calamine lotion afterwards. Witch hazel is supposed to help with itching as well but I found it only helped for about 5 mins. My husband and I caught it as well, we were all miserable! Popsicles are what I survived on for a week, pedialyte makes freezies and my son seemed to enjoy those as well!
