ICP

Hi!! I had ICP in both my pregnancies- with my daughter my bile acids were 378, I was induced at 36 weeks (I know this isn’t the right guidance but hospital decision essentially)! I wasn’t offered steroids but I wish I was- I can’t be certain but she spent 8 days in the special care unit because of some breathing and feeding problems, was this because of her not having the steroids I’m not sure. She is 3 years old now and doing amazing!

My second baby (4 months old now) my bile acids were 61. He was born at 37 weeks. He spent an hour or two in the special care unit to keep an eye on him but discarded him 2 days later with no issues!

I would consider the steroids, as it wasn’t offered to me I do wonder whether that had anything to do with the additional care needed!

This is my first pregnancy, I was diagnosed with it at 25 weeks pregnant. My levels are 123, I’m actually being induced October 27th because of it. I’ve been told about getting the shot as well. I plan to get it.
