Hello. Asking for some kind and friendly and honest advice. I had my first baby 2 years ago (aged 38), without going into too much detail it wasn’t easy but wasn’t absolutely horrific but enough to scare me to go through it again. With that in mind and now being 40, I’m worried about having a second baby despite really wanting one! I’m also fit and healthy (I think) but not in the best physical shape as I’ve struggled to lose the weight from first time around and worried this is also a risk. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone have any advice at all?

I’d say the older you get the harder it is for the weight to fall off, but with consistency you can do it. If you want no.2 go go go!

I don’t have much advice other than from an older mum perspective. I am 45 with a 3 and a 1 year old. Natural pregnancies for both, no health issues for them or me. I did lose two pregnancies in between. That was tough, but it can happen at any age. There is so much stigma around age. Of course it can become more tricky over 40, they make you aware that you carry more risks, but that is a generalisation and so many women have no problems at all. Despite what the general consensus seems to be, women have been doing it forever. I see mums of little ones around my age all the time. Don’t let that stop you if you want another baby. Good luck x

It's hard decision but I would say if you feel you want another little one and you don't have medical tourbles - go for it ❤️
I had the second baby at age of 38 and we are definitely done (despite my husband wanting 3)because my second pregnancy was completely opposite to first one (which was perfect)... In my second pregnancy I was so sick the majority of time and had complications and baby came 2 months early and I would just be scared that next baby would come even sooner...
Plus I must admit I feel like I don't have energy and I wish I was 10 years younger as think I would handle sleep deprivation and everything much better. I remember my gynecologist nurse was telling me for ages that the best biological age to have kids is being 24 years old and I understand why 😅
can you feel when you’re about to pop? i feel like i will by the end of this month🤞🏽 or like 6 months 🙄

I broke my pelvis at 14 weeks pregnant, developed PGP/SPD since, have gestational diabetes, too much fluid around baby, baby is measuing large and placenta previa. My first pregnancy was super uncomplicated minus developing hypertension at the end and this one I just feel like my body is trying to have every high risk factor out there. I’m super thankful baby is ok, but my body is suffering 😩 I’m 33 weeks and just ready not be pregnant anymore
