Using coconut oil for baby skin and hair

Has anyone tried using coconut oil on their baby’s skin for the eczema? Did it help or worsen eczema or rashes? Would love to hear about any side effects or alternatives you recommend for sensitive skin.

For us it worsened it we used it for everywhere on her body but she got eczema on her face. We kept using it and it flared up worse. We opted for trying Childs farm fragrance free face cream and it’s cleared it up :)

I've used coconut oil since babies first bath, he's now 8.5 months and honestly I've tried other creams/moisturisers but they leave a residue on his skin and clothes where coconut oil leaves no residue and absorbs super fast. I will say that it can stain your clothes if you aren't careful but I've never noticed it on baby clothes
