Is no morning sickness normal

I'm now 5 weeks 4 days and I still havent had morning sickness. I read things that say around now I should have it and having it is a good sign that pregnancy is going well ... I'm worried that I havent got any signs yet :(

Just wait for it...you’ll wish you were one of the lucky ones 😆 mine didn’t start until just before 7 weeks, I’m not nearly 10 and it’s been a difficult few weeks xx

Ohhhh doesn't sound good :( . Just worry I havent got enough symptoms. Today all I've got is mild lower back pain . Just worry to much I think 🙈

Avatar

I didn’t have any either so I’m sure your fine. Congrats

Avatar

I had no sickness my entire pregnancy and had a good labour and a very happy healthy now 9month old boy! So don’t worry. Every pregnancy is different and we all have different signs and symptoms

Avatar

Do your breasts hurt? Headache? Food aversion? Low blood pressure?
I'm 19 weeks, healthy baby, and had no morning sickness. Don't worry, hormones present differently in everyone. I thought something was off or something was wrong with me. Turns out I'm one of the blessed few! Maybe you will be too!
Good luck momma! ❤

I had hardly any symptoms and no sickness at all during the whole 9 months (just a tiny bit of nausea). I was also worried but my son is perfect! 🥰

Avatar

I’m now 28 weeks and had zero nausea or sickness throughout. Sore boobs and feeling tired were all I had. Everyone is different. Try not to worry x

Avatar

Lol honey you're not far enough along just wait!!!! I say give it 3 more weeks

Avatar

I’m 37wks and haven’t had one symptom the entire time, I didn’t find out til I was 13wks because literally nothing and that’s continued. My baby girl is kicking hell out my ribs as I type this so she’s perfectly healthy. Every pregnancy is different so take advise from others with a pinch of salt and take your pregnancy as it comes ☺️ good luck with your pregnancy x

Avatar

I’m 13 weeks and no had any morning sickness or pregnancy symptoms a part to be very tired...don’t overthink about this and it doesn’t mean that is something wrong! Xx

Avatar

I never had any sickness during my pregnancy so I wouldn't worry. See it as a positive. Xx

Avatar

Mine started around 6 weeks and has just stopped (I hope) at 12 weeks. If you’re worried you can pay privately for an early pregnancy reassurance scan mine cost £45. X

Avatar

I wouldn't worry lovely I'm 17 weeks with baby 3 and had no morning sickness at all. Tbf I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms except a growing belly

Avatar

I had no symptoms other than headaches!! I’m 14 weeks now, still taking bad headaches

Avatar

Nothing to worry about at all....second baby here and I have no idea what morning sickness is like, or heartburn, or any of them other 'symptoms' feel like! Have some slight pelvic pain this time around, but I know its cos I'm so much busier this pregnancy than last, but other than that last time and this time my only problem is this big bump getting in the way when I bend down or whatever! Enjoy it!!

Avatar

I had no morning sickness at all til way later on in my pregnancy

Avatar

I had no sickness in my whole pregnancy. Hardly any symptoms at all and I have a healthy 8 week old.

Avatar

My morning sickness is terrible I’m only 5 weeks and 5 days finger crossed everything goes well for me and all the beautiful moms to be on here wish you all the best remember to take care of your selfs and have the most rest you all can ❤️

Avatar

I used to panic about that i showed no symptoms at all and i was scared about my pregnancy for the first 3 months till my scan showed there was actually a baby in there and the first time a felt pregnant was when a was halfway home from my mums new year after midnight and had an awful feeling wash over me had to run home a puked everywhere 🤣😂😂😂😂 make the most of it xx

Avatar

Never had any morning sickness during pregnancy and I now have a very healthy 15 month old! I wouldn’t worry at all and I definitely wouldn’t say it’s an indicator of a good pregnancy - every mother and pregnancy is different and it depends on so many factors in a woman’s body!

One thing I do recommend is to stop googling for stuff during pregnancy because it will drive you bonkers. Too much information and bad advice out there. Best to ask question in this kind of a forum or looking into some solid books on pregnancy 🙏🏽

With my first i didnt get morning sickness will I was 8 weeks and with my second I had it nonstop from 1 week thru to 16 weeks. Enjoy it while its not around im sure it will hit you soon enough 🤢

Avatar

I didn't have morning sickness with either of my two and they are both healthy my daughter was born 7lbs 5 and my son weighing 8lbs 11 so not everyone gets morning sickness im glad i didn't get it 🤣 x

Avatar

Very normal, I never had any sickness throughout my entire pregnancy. My healthy 10 week old baby girl is currently napping in her swing haha

Avatar

Normal. Mine didn't start until 10-11 weeks, but then it never stopped😩. I was puking while in labor.

Avatar

Thankyou so much everyone . You have all helped me. I need to stop googling everything 🙈

Avatar

I'm sure it's not a bad sign at all. Every women experiences pregnancy in a different way. Consider it a blessing! Lol and ask your doctor on your next appointment if your still worried.

Avatar

Hiya, I didn’t have any sickness with my 2nd baby compared to my 1st where I had it bad so don’t worry 😊

Avatar

I felt very smug that I had no sickness with my third....until about 8 weeks when it hit me like a ton of bricks and stayed until I was about 18 weeks 😂😂😂

Avatar

I’ve had 2 babies and not once ever been sick. I actually never had any pregnancy symptoms with either of them.

Avatar

I never got morning sickness and I’m 18 weeks

Avatar

I never had morning sickness with either of my pregnancies maybe you are just lucky as well

Avatar

My morning sickness took longer to kick in. I was closer to 8 or 9 weeks when it really hit me.

Avatar

I didn’t have it till around 10-11 weeks and it only last two weeks.

Avatar

I haven’t been sick yet and I’m 25 weeks! Felt dizzy and passed out but apart from that I count myself as lucky! Sore boobs but they have now gone... for now!
I am a worrier but have learnt everyone is different, my baby didn’t start moving until 23 weeks properly but others were 18.
☺️ stay positive 🤰🏼

Avatar

Dont panic I never got morning sickness everyone dont always get it

Avatar

Also 5 weeks and 4 day and also no morning sickness!☹️ I never thought I would wish to vomit before this 😂 let’s stay positive and hope we’re just one of the lucky ones! So hard not to worry at this point but what will be will be ☺️xxx

Avatar

I never got it 🤷‍♀️ i had a couple car sickness episodes as i went in them on an empty stomach but these were when i was like 7m+

I got no cravings all the way through either.

Avatar

My nausea kicked in at 7 weeks (no vomiting though)

Avatar

I’m 7 weeks and I still haven’t felt Nada! Just saw boobs and hiccups...

Avatar

With my current pregnancy I have had no morning sickness at all and my first I was sick all day everyday but it didn't start until I was 7/8 weeks. As hard as it is just try to enjoy not being sick because severe morning sickness makes it hard to be able to do anything at all 😂 x

Do active babies in the womb become active newborns?

I had my 40 week ultrasound yesterday (on my due date) and the doctor mentioned how active my baby is. Curious as to your experiences regarding if your baby was active in the womb, are they likely to be active when they’re newborn? 😊

Small bumps

I have a really small bump, at 27 weeks pregnant. People keep commenting on the fact my bump is so small and its starting to worry & get me down. Has anyone here had a small bump with a baby that weighed measured average size? Its really worrying me! I have a 30 week scan and one at 37 weeks because im on a moderate pathway - had a gastric sleeve in 2023 so its to check she is growing but as the comments are coming im now panicking where I wasnt before 😫

Early Labour?

I’m 34 weeks today, since 3am I’ve been having irregular cramping which becomes quite intense and has caused me to vomit. I’ve also had diarrhoea. Could I be in early labour or could I just have a bad stomach? I feel generally well in myself

When is it ok to start running again? Health visitor advised to wait longer before running but did anyone start at 7 weeks and how?
I know I won't be running marathons any time soon and probably have to start back at a couch to 5k but when?! I'm getting restless legs! Advice please

Movements at 31 weeks

Does anyone else feel like their movements are more subtle since being further along in the pregnancy? I can feel my baby moving inside my belly but I don't feel the movements as "strong" when I put my hand on my belly. Not sure if it's because they've changed from "kicking" to "rolling" movements.

Anyone else feel the same?
