Hydrosalpinx; found on scan
So I had a HyCoSy in December and both tubes clear, day 13 of stims, second ivf cycle and they think my right tube is filled with fluid and blocked... has anyone had this? I have been advised I will need the tube removed or clipped; has anyone had this done?

Hi Natalie! I have endometriosis stage 4 and had one of my tubes removed during my last surgery. Did that to give my husband and I the best chances for pregnancy later on. A lot of the damage was due to the endometriosis and it was the best decision for us. I would definitely evaluate with your doctor and decide what route is best for you and your future. Yes I had to have both my tubes removed in February. Seems odd that it showed clear in December but can happen
I have a hydrosalpinx as well. I had a HSG done last summer & an endometrial biopsy earlier this year to confirm it. My doctors wanted to remove or clip my tubes, but I had too much scar tissue from previous surgeries & they weren’t able to. We decided to try a transfer & im currently 8 weeks 3 days pregnant! Obviously hydrosalpinx can cause a lot of complications & puts you at a higher risk for a miscarriage. I think I would have preferred to have the surgery... But luckily for us (since surgery wasn’t a great option) we still were able to get pregnant!
I had my tubes removed and ultimately it led to a successful IVF cycle. Although hard, it was the best decision for me. Hydro can be so toxic to embryos and I believe that’s why I could never conceive on my own.
Remember you don’t need your tubes for IVF either 👍🏼
Iv been told I have it in one tube. But we are going ahead with ivf due to male factor. As it didn’t show in my first scan, I was told they would keep an eye on it during the process

IUD request
I need advice. I placed a Copper IUD in my home country as I was flying there for a gyno check up after giving birth. But I’ve had 4 menstrual cycles with it, and I’m bleeding like a river. Where do I call or request to take my IUD out and replace with the marine hormonal one?

IVF prep
Hello. Looking for any advice on what people have found works, to prep for collection and transfer? Whilst trying naturally I’ve been taking supplements and trying to prioritise fertility foods, I’ve been off caffeine and alcohol for over 6 months.. but nothing seemed to help. Wasn’t sure if there was ivf specific prep people swear by! Thanks
