It’s perfectly normal for baby to want to be close to you, you’re still in the fourth trimester, he is still getting used to being out in the world. My son was the same and in the end the only thing that worked for us and meant we both slept was co sleeping because he refused his Moses basket, crib, cot all of it and if I tried to he would wake and stay awake all night.

That's exactally what my son is like and honestly cos I'm single parent it's really hard mean I dont get sleep at all.. sometimes I put him in bed with me but I have the sleep deluxe thing that I put on my bed.. I have no choice he will not sleep in the mosses basket or the crib.. and he will never sleep on his own I have to Rock him to sleep for 1 hour and then quickly put him down but then he wakes up.. x
