We did with our first when she was a week old. We gave her about half the recommended amount for a 4 week old. We went by weight and just made sure to pay close attention to her to make sure she didn't have a reaction. She was extremely gassy and nothing helped, but gripe water. She was able to eat peacefully and happily afterwards. Always try asking your pediatrician to be sure if you're uneasy about it.

I used gripe water with my baby at 2 weeks, I used this same exact brand and I just gave it to him alone without putting it in his bottle

For me mixing the right dose with warm water helped 50ml first and as they get bigger little more water you’ll be surprised when baby gets thirsty for water and not just their feeds. Xx every baby is different but you could try it.

Yea you can give it to he. My daughter had love it. I actually feel like it work better than the zarbee's grip water.

I asked my (baby’s) doctor about this today. She told me to wait until he’s a month old but she didn’t say it would ge harmful.

Why do you want to give it? Not judging at all. There may be something else more natural to try if you wanted something else. Or might need to ask the doctor in case its something serious.

I started using it at around two weeks old but I would only give half the recommended dose which helped!

I used it on my son at 2weeks and he loved it! It worked wonders I love that it is all natural

Saved us!!!

We absolutely swore by Gripe Water. I only gave 1ml first, in a dropper - that did the job! The dosage said 5ml but 1ml definitely still did its magic at the beginning. Liquid gold! 🙌🏼

Just throwing in the mix that there’s no evidence that gripe water works...

I did if he had hiccups that wouldn’t go away with milk. Or if his stomach was super bloated and doing bicycle kicks didn’t work.

Sounds ludicrous but honestly, look into baby specialist chiropractor.... my son was literally cured from severe reflux within 2/3 sessions, when he was 13 weeks old. Since then - he’s thrown up a total of twice ever!!
Worth some research as it saved my mind and his pain x x

It works and it wouldn't hurt your little one 💓

Chamomile tea does the same thing!

I use this for my daughter it’s great but I did wait until was was of age . I think it’s safer for you to change the formula of bottle before giving baby gripe water before it’s times there’s a reason they put an age on it

I works for us but I waited until she was of age, just be careful and administer slowly, mine choked on it when I squirted it in too quickly by accident.

Gripe water is safe - didn’t do anything for my daughter, unfortunately. But definitely give bicycle legs and frequent burps, too!

My baby is 4 weeks and gets serious gas to the pointe her she can’t calm down or sleep. This has been really working for her. I have little remedies gripe water and says you can start using at 2 weeks!

I was told to not use it before 1 month of age by my Dr and midwife even though it does say on the box it can be used at 2 weeks. Definitely give right after or during feeds if you do use it per the instructions on the box. My LO suffers from trapped wind and seemed very uncomfortable after feeds. Be careful not to give it too quickly we give about a ml at a time still she takes it all and she doesn't have an issue. We also changed to a comfort version of formula and added it in to her routine and it seems to help and she is much less fussy after feeds. I use a different brand of gripe water they all have different ingredients so definitely research the brand when you choose and watch for any reactions after the first try.

I did but my son didnt react well. I gave it to him and 2mins later he started gagging x

Demerara Sugar also works to hun just make it like u would the babies bottle but just one tea spoon and just boiled water and just let it cool right down then give it an hour before his or her feed and it will help

Yes! I’d mix it in her milk if you are using bottles. My baby would choke on it and spit it out when I tried to give it to her straight up

We have the Woodward’s alcohol free one which says don’t give to babies under 4 weeks.
We have given it to our three week old (He’s almost 10lbs) as he gets really bad tummy and it goes so hard and he can’t get his gas out, it’s worked wonders. We’ve only done half the amount of 2ml before his bedtime bottle and it’s helped him sleep too

Hey mama I don’t recommend it my baby started vomiting that’s one of the symptoms

Worked wonders for my little boy, gave it from 1 month as per instructions on the Woodward box. He loves the taste. It says to use a spoon but find it easier doing small amounts into his cheek with a pipet. I also sit him in his chair so he’s upright. The wind starts coming out before I’ve even got through the dose.
I have seen a nighttime one on Amazon too, but not tried it.

We used to put it in her milk bottle! Also- for some reason that brand “mothers bliss” made her stomach more off. We like the little remedies brand!

Gave it to my baby at 3 weeks and caused more stomach issues, gas and reflux. Stopped using after 4 days and the reflux slowly went away. Now I use the Gerber soothe probiotics + vit D.

We started using it on my 2 month old and it’s helped

Yes, my daughter took really well too the gripe water. She Started using this around 2 months she’s now two years old and we still use this when needed

Thats what our pediatrician recommended for our little one. If your not sure then I’d call and ask to be safe. Each baby handles new things differently especially in the beginning months

I use the night time one and have been using it since he was 3 weeks he’s a very gassy baby lol. It works great!!

I never used it. Definitely ask your pediatrician. I tried extra tummy time if I couldn’t pay out the gas.

I was told not to give my son any form of water because if you are breastfeeding then there is water already in your milk and if you are formula feeding then you are also using water. If that makes since. I would ask your babies doctor though to make sure it is safe.

It worked well for my baby boy, but I also learned that it was the milk in my diet that was causing the need.

I guess it depends what you’re using it for. It only worked for my baby girls hiccups nothing else. I started giving it to her at 2 weeks as recommended.

My daughter loved it and it’s fantastic

It depend on how your baby is feeling after taking it if you see bad signs stomach gas increases or something like that then don’t use it every baby is different I use that until 10 months and she rarely have stomachache

I used it on my son right away. I think it's safe as long as you read the label of the bottle. It should tell you the appropriate amount to give to your baby.

Thank you for your comments! 🌷

Made my 4 month old feel worse

Helped a lot for my son When he was very colicky around two or three months old I don’t know if I would use it on 1 month old though ask your pediatrician. There’s a homeo pathic brand called colic calm you can get off Amazon that works really well for gassiness

Honestly, that brand my baby never liked. The only one he drinks is organic Gripe water from wellements. You can order it on their website or Amazon. It is the only one that really worked for my baby.

My doctor suggested I give baby girl at 2mo, DARK Karo Syrup & Water for constipation as well as Apple or Prune Juice. Save this for later ❤

We lived by gripe water from about 2eks-4m old and then figured out he had an intolerance to dairy. But we saw major differences from the start of using it!

yes! it tells you on the labeling and the correct dosage

Please be advice gripe water expires within a few weeks and needs to be refrigerated

It worked for my son. Just have to be very careful. Babies are use to there milk which has a thickness to it, when you give them water they aren’t use to it. So giving it little by little will be the safest so he/she won’t strangle on it.

Helped my baby girl for a while but then it started not to so I had to give her gas drops

We have used this since about 2 weeks and it helped so much! My dr just advised me that some brands have alcohol or sugar added and to avoid those. We used colic calm and it almost instantly helped him pass wind or poop.
As a more long term solution, we use gas drops.
The brand we use stains bad as well so try keep it off clothes etc. And we use the syringe in his cheek slowly so he can swollow properly!
