OFFICIAL RULES — THE VILLAGE FUND GRANT PROGRAM

A CONTEST OF SKILL

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. WINNER SELECTION IS BASED SOLELY ON SKILL AND MERIT. CHANCE PLAYS NO PART IN THE DETERMINATION OF WINNERS.

1. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and are active members of the Peanut app. Employees of Peanut App Limited, Coterie, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law.

2. Sponsors

Peanut App Limited (“Peanut”) and Coterie Baby Inc (“Coterie”) (together, the “Sponsors”). 

3. Contest Period

The Village Fund Grant Program begins on 9.9.2026 at 9AM ET and ends on 2.28.2027 at 6PM ET ("Contest Period"). Sponsors' computer is the official timekeeping device for this contest.

4. How to Enter

Entry takes place in two stages:

Stage 1 — Application: During the Contest Period, eligible participants may submit an application via the Peanut app by completing the Village Fund application form in full. Applications must describe the applicant's proposed community meetup event ("Event Concept"), including the planned format, intended audience, community need, and proposed budget. Limit one (1) application per person. Multiple applications will result in disqualification. No purchase is necessary to access the Peanut app or submit an application.

Stage 2 — Verification of Group Intent: Applicants whose submissions are selected for further consideration will be asked to register their proposed event via the Peanut app and invite at least two (2) of their proposed attendees to RSVP to the event. This step is required to verify genuine group intent and community participation. A minimum of two (2) confirmed RSVPs are collected solely to verify genuine group intent and does not constitute consideration of entry. The number of RSVPs beyond the minimum has no impact on the likelihood of the grant being awarded. Applicants who do not complete Stage 2 within 7 business days of being notified will be deemed ineligible and the next-highest-scoring applicant will be considered in their place.

5. Grant Awards

Grant amounts are determined at the sole discretion of the Sponsors up to a maximum of $3,000 per grant, based on the size, scope and quality of the approved Event Concept. The number of Grants awarded is at the Sponsors’ sole discretion.. Grants are non-transferable and must be used solely for the Event Concept described in the winning application. Unused funds or funds applied to purposes outside the approved Event Concept must be returned to the Sponsors.

6. Judging and Selection — Contest of Skill

THIS IS A CONTEST OF SKILL. Winners are determined solely on the basis of the skill and merit of their application as evaluated by a panel of judges drawn from Peanut’s community events team, together with representatives of Coterie. Chance plays no part in the determination of winners.Applications will be reviewed and scored by a panel of at least three (3) judges appointed by the Sponsors, who may include employees or representatives of Peanut App Limited and Coterie. Each application will be scored against the following criteria:Quality and creativity of the Event Concept (25%)

  1. Clarity of the community need being addressed (25%)
  2. Feasibility and appropriateness of the proposed budget (25%)
  3. Potential for meaningful connection and community impact (25%)
Applications will be scored on a scale of 1–10 against each criterion. In the event of a tie, the application with the highest score in the "Potential for meaningful connection and community impact" criterion will be deemed the winner. 

Judging will take place on a rolling basis throughout the Contest Period. The Sponsors' decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the administration of this contest, provided that the judging of applications shall be determined in accordance with the criteria set out above.

7. Winner Notification

Selected applicants will be notified via the Peanut app and/or by email to the address associated with their account within 30 business days of their application being assessed. Applicants must respond within 7 business days of notification or the grant may be forfeited and the next-highest-scoring applicant selected. Sponsors are not responsible for failed, returned, or misdirected notifications.

8. Conditions of Grant Award

Selected applicants will be required to sign and return a Host Agreement, within 7 days of notification. The Host Agreement will confirm that funds must be used solely for the approved Event Concept. Failure to return the required documents within the specified time may result in disqualification and selection of the next-highest-scoring applicant.

9. Use of Funds

The Host agrees to use the grant exclusively for the Event concept described in their funding application. Grant funds may not be redirected, repurposed, or used for any activity, purchase, or purpose outside of the approved Event concept. If the Event cannot proceed as described, the Host must notify Peanut at villagefund@teampeanut.com prior to spending or committing any grant funds. The Sponsors reserve the right to request a summary of how grant funds were used and to recover grant funds used outside of the approved concept.The Host shall not use the grant, or organize or conduct the Event, in connection with: (a) any political campaign, political party, candidate for public office, lobbying activity, or other partisan political activity; (b) any religious service, worship, proselytizing, or other activity primarily intended to promote or advance a particular religion or religious belief; (c) any unlawful activity; (d) any activity that involves an unreasonable risk of physical injury or harm to participants; (e) the promotion or sale of illegal drugs, weapons, or other unlawful products or services; or (f) any activity that promotes discrimination, harassment, hate, or violence against any individual or group.The Host shall not represent or imply that either Funder organizes, hosts, endorses, or sponsors the Event or any views, statements, products, services, organizations, or activities associated with the Event, except that the Host may accurately state that the Event received financial support from The Village Fund in accordance with any attribution guidelines provided by the Sponsors.The Host is solely responsible for determining and satisfying any tax liability arising from receipt or use of the grant. The grant is provided without any deduction or withholding, and the Sponsors make no representation as to its tax treatment.

10. Content Capture

If the recipient consented to content capture as part of their application, participation in the Village Fund constitutes permission for Peanut App Limited and Coterie to capture and use photos, video, and quotes from the funded event for marketing and promotional purposes across their respective channels, without additional compensation. The recipient is responsible for obtaining any consents or releases required from attendees who appear in such content, as further set out in th eHost Agreement and warrants that the content does not infringe the right s of any third party.

11. General Conditions

If the recipient consented to content capture as part of their application, participation in the Village Fund constitutes permission for Peanut App Limited and Coterie to capture and use photos, video, and quotes from the funded event for marketing and promotional purposes across their respective channels, without additional compensation. 12. Limitations of Liability

By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Peanut App Limited, Coterie, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in the program, the funded event, or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any grant funds. To the extent governed by California law, each participant agrees that the Californian Civil Code s1542 is expressly waived.

13. Privacy

Any personal information collected in connection with this program will be used in accordance with Peanut's Privacy Policy, available at www.peanut-app.io/privacy.

14. Publicity

Except where prohibited, participation constitutes the recipient's consent to Sponsors' use of their partial name, likeness, city of residence, and biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation.

15. Social Media Disclaimer

This contest is administered by Peanut App Limited and Coterie. It is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc. (including Instagram and Facebook), TikTok, or any other social media platform on which it may be promoted. By participating, entrants release each applicable platform from any and all liability arising in connection with this contest. Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the contest should be directed to Peanut App Limited and not to any social media platform.

16. Disputes

All disputes arising out of or relating to this contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The laws of the State of California govern this contest.

17. Winners List

To protect the privacy of grant recipients, winner information will be limited to first name, last initial, and state of residence only (e.g. "Sarah M., California"). No further identifying information will be disclosed. To request the winners list, email villagefund@teampeanut.com with "Winners List Request" in the subject line within 30 days of the contest end date. Winner information will be provided within 30 business days of receipt of a valid request.
