Common illness

Some advice please

So the past few days my little girl has had a sniffly nose which only seems to be getting worse. It’s not on her chest it’s literally just her nose along side with the sneezes. I feel like sometimes she is really struggling to breathe and is holding her breath for a long amount of time. I can’t sleep on a night I feel like I’m just lying there watching her! I’ve tried everything to help soothe her, boogie sucker, nasal spray and oil in warm water. What would you do if you was in my position? I feel silly taking her doctors for a sniffly nose but I’ve got that mom anxiety.

She is still feeding well if not having more then usual! And still having wet and dirty nappies, her chest seems fine and doesn’t seem to be dipping it’s literally her nose. When she sneezes or is really bunged up and it goes to the back of her throat this is when she will hold her breathe for a little bit until the boogies move of the back of her throat if that makes sense.

She is only two weeks old and is classed as premature as born at 36 weeks 2 days.

Baby digestion

Constipated baby

My poor baby hasn’t poohed for 2 days and it’s getting to the point where I think it’s hurting her to strain. I’ve spoke to midwife today and she said to rub her tummy, do bicycle legs, try a warm bath and rub Vaseline around her bum. The midwife didn’t seem concerned and said to give it few more days but I’m so worried! I’ve tried all these and nothing seems to be working! Has anyone got any advice on how I can get my little one to do a Pooh! She’s only 8 days old 😩😒

Weight loss after baby

Hi guys,

I’m just over 4 weeks PP and my weight is really getting me down, I’ve started at the gym and I’m doing a lot of exercise and walks with my dogs and baby boy but I still feel really unconfirmed and self conscious of the mum tum, I’m just wondering if anyone has been feeling the same and if there’s anything that has helped you feel a bit more confident or lose weight that I could try? I gained 3 stone in the pregnancy and have lost 2 but the last stone is being rather stubborn, thanks😊

Baby sleep

8 month old - trouble sleeping

My 8 month old has always been a great sleeper, I usually put him down for bed around 7-8pm (I’m not too strict, but this is usually when he gets tired) and he’ll sleep through until 7am. I’ve done this since he was 5 months old and it’s worked up until now. The past week or so he’s been falling asleep at 7pm (ish) but then waking up around an hour later hysterically crying and won’t go back down. He seems to realise he’s in his cot and not with us and cries so much I can’t get him back off to sleep in his room. Any advice on how to help settle him or improve his sleep again? Is this just something he’ll grow out of soon?
