Thinking about going vegetarian

Hey so I’m considering going vegetarian not necessarily for ethical reasons but just because i find the idea of meat disgusting when i actually think about it, my issue is that I’m a super picky eater and struggle to keep up with all my vitamins/minerals anyway so removing all of these options from my diet would probably be a bit of a struggle, having 1 bad experience with meat free alternatives will also make it near impossible for me to try new ones (i know i know that’s super childish but it is what it is) so can anyone give me any recommendations for the least disgusting meat alternatives that don’t taste super artificial and easy ways to make sure I’m meeting my nutritional recommendations TIA 🤍

Weaning - allergens?

Hi all, FTM here to a wonderful 5 month old girl. Been EBF since birth and now starting to think about weaning. My partner and I have both been vegan for about 10 years now and I’m a bit torn when it comes to introducing allergens to our LO during weaning.

Thinking it’s likely beneficial to expose her to some of the top allergens like milk and eggs when starting weaning but she then wouldn’t have any in our household for regular meals anyway so is there any point? Does anyone have any experience they can share with me? Just want to do what is best for baby! Thanks in advance :) 🙏🏼

Breastfeeding

Transitioning off breastmilk

Did you transition your baby to plant milk or just off of breastmilk? I read somewhere that too much plant milk isn’t ideal for babies but I’m obviously not going to do cow’s milk. Have you come across any good research on this?

Thanks!

Plant Based Alternative Alternatives 😂

My husband and I used to exist on Beyond products, but don’t want to feed these to baby because of the sodium levels and other additives. We’re trying to be conscientious of his protein intake, but we’re getting tired of black beans and chickpeas. How have y’all been handling being a vegetarian and making baby-safe food?

Major diet changes

Hello! I'm a single momma of 2 great little girls, recently we've learned my youngest has a lot of food allergies, and I have been trying to manage my way around her needs, now I've been diagnosed with major cholesterol issues and have to make a big change along with that, we would love to try to move more toward tofu or plant based meats for some of our meals, any suggestions for a mom that can't serve much besides chicken and fish, for kids that may be a little picky?
