Hydronephrosis Babies 💚

Hi all, my son is 12 weeks old tomorrow and is teething (definitely teething not cysts) I am so worried to give him anything, he has severe hydronephrosis of the left kidney caused by a blockage in the tube leading to his bladder, we are waiting for a MAG3 scan to find out if the kidney is functioning, but in the meantime do any of you know of anything I can do to help relieve his pain and discomfort? Ive tried teething rings and he throws them out of his mouth. Thank you in advance!

I went for my fetal medicine scan today at 34+6 and was told baby has 7.3mm fluid on right kidney. I have another growth scan at 36 weeks but they said if it’s still there they’ll monitor it after birth. Has anyone had the same and did it resolve on its own?

Hey everyone, so at my 20 week scan, it was flagged that my son had some fluid on his kidney, I was told not to worry and that its quite usual for boys but was referred to fetal medicine. My son is now 6 weeks old, on his last scan (a week a go) his left kidney has what is classed as severe hydronephrosis and his right kidney is slightly dilated, he is on trimethoprim and has been since he was 3 days old. He has plenty of wet nappys and he has his 1st consultant appointment tomorrow … can anyone tell me what I can expect from the appointment. Im so scared for him.

Was told by a specialist doctor about it being important to not let baby have any added salt or sugar as this could increase risk of getting a water infection which could then cause problems. Baby is still under one I ve extremely anxious about this and have been extremely strict. Anyone have any advice or what they do please

Hi, my son is 21 months and had ongoing scans as he was born with a dilated left kidney. Function tests showed that the kidney function has decreased therefore an intervention is necessary. Does anyone have experience of this type of procedure?
