Hi everyone

I’m 23 weeks pregnant with my first, T1D for 33yrs. Have recently moved onto the Ypsomed from Omnipod 5. Would love to meet other T1D Mums nearby ☺️

Folic acid

We are planning on our 2nd baby and I was wondering if anyone fell pregnant without taking folic acid for the 3 months as I was told you have to take folic acid for at least 3 months prior to trying for a baby. Thank you ☺️

Making friends

Hi 👋

Hello all! I’m a 32 yr old T1D since I was 15. Nearly 13 weeks pregnant with my first, following a miscarriage last year.

So glad to have found this app and group! Had a stressful day today with shugs rising to 17 and not coming down, can’t help but beat myself up over it!

Seeing some of your posts have helped so much 💙

First trimester worries

Hypos

I’m 34 weeks today and have had 2 unexpected lows today which I can’t really explain. Ok top of this I’ve needed a lot of sugar / fast acting carbs to bring me up. I also for the past 3 weeks have been very nauseous and off of food and have lowered my insulin for this. Has anyone experienced similar please? I’m sat here now drinking orange juice after eating a load of sweets as it’s only brought me up by 1.5mml in 20mins 🙄

Pregnancy care

Covid & Pregnancy

So I’m 17+5 and have tested positive for Covid today. I’m not in anyway and anti vaxer in fact before I became pregnant due to my type 1 diabetes I’ve already had 5 jabs however I’m not having it pregnant. Personally I can’t see how in 3 years we can go from it’s not safe for pregnant women to now saying it’s safe. There is simply not enough evidence to prove otherwise in my humble opinion; Maybe in 20 years when it’s proven to be safe for my baby then yes. What I wondered is if anyone has had covid whilst pregnant how were you? I would say this is just a mild cold however I am so so tired and my blood glucose is running high. Other than that I’m doing ok. Anyone have any experience of covid and pregnancy 🤰🏼
