Do you and your spouse/partner do one-on-one dates with your kids? If so, what do you do for the dates, and how do you arrange them/how often do they occur?

I had the thought tonight, since we have 2 currently, that we could each go to a different gas station at the same time for a treat twice a month or something. I feel like it'd be good to have other arrows in our quiver, so-to-speak.

I miss my wife. I miss how during this pregnancy (our first) we were so in sync and everything felt possible. I miss lying in bed together. I miss the early post partum days where it was the 3 of us in our own little world. I miss not worrying she resents me for staying home with the baby while she works overtime and I'm still remote job hunting. I miss feeling like a partner and not a burden. I miss being able to support my wife in her dreams without worrying about money. I miss knowing our marriage was rock solid instead of scared im losing the love of my life as I lay in bed watching a proposal on a show on my phone that sets me spiraling into tears alone. I miss knowing everything was going to be okay. I wouldn't trade our daughter for anything. But fuck this is hard.

I have the chance to advance my career further in the medical feild and get my EMT-B license. I was to do it so bad but I have 2 kids and due with my 3rd soon. Kids are 2 yrs (Will be 3 when the new one gets here) and a 1 yr old. I have to choose between advancing my career and doing 12 hour shifts (which is what I work now) or I can work up at the court house and get off my 5 pm to go pickup my kids from the baby sitters. If I do EMS then I have my career set and will make a little more than working up at the courthouse. But if I do office work then my work hours are shorter, I make a little less and I'm around my kids more.

So if the father is a real jerk I feel like it can rub off on the child lol.

Talking to this new guy! I honestly told him that I wasn’t looking for a relationship only someone I can hang with from time to time & hang out with. Essentially I think a relationship without the title now that I think about it lol. Anyway we’ve been spending time together and of course doing the do .. & tonight we were laying there just cuddling, watching a show and I started to think I actually kind of like him.. & it’s like but you’ve already told him you don’t want a commitment.. so now I feel stupid
