Am I the only one who thinks it’s weird when parents teach their boys to pee outside? I didn’t teach my daughter that so why would I teach my son? Just because he has a penis?? I’m genuinely stumped by this....can anyone explain?

Whatttt? I’ve never heard of anyone teaching their boys to pee outside🤔

I live in an apartment. I guess we could just take him to the dog park to learn?

😂😂 this made me.laugh so much, I have a son who loves peeing outside 😂
We never actually taught him to pee outside officially and do not encourage him to do so either, I just suppose when Ur out and about and they can stand near a bush while potty training if they bursting we have saved so many accidents by the odd wee in a bush or tree!
From research girls tend to potty train better and quicker so isit that cuz Boys take longer and the build in hose makes wees very easy that we tolerate it more easily 😂😂😂
I don't have an answer but I absolutely loved the post

Because boy can see where is his pee coming from. My one thorough his potty training managed to pee in shower when he stands and then he understands how it works. And do not worry no parent thinking their boy is better than anyone's girl. It's simply natural as each sex can pass urine different way.

I probably will but would have for a girl too, I’m a hiker and runner and quite often find a bush loo when needed 🤣😅🙈

These comments are great, thanks for the responses. The reason I was asking is I know a few people who have taught their boys this and now given the option, they go outside instead of a bathroom, even if they’re home. I totally understand going outside if you’re hiking or like an emergency situation of course. My boy just turned 1 so I’m not going to potty train him for a while, I was more just curious if this was normal.

I dont teach either of my children to pee outside but I will allow them to pee outside IF I don't have a nearby or makeshift bathroom available. But definitely not a routine I'd like to get into regardless of gender.
