Red hair?

Mommas of red headed babies: when could you tell your LO was gonna be a red head? My son was born with a medium/dark brown hair and it’s lightened as he’s gotten older and it does have some slight red tones in it. His eyebrows are also very fair, like blonde. Do you think he will be a redhead? I know it’s still early and hair color can change up until more than a year or so but I feel like if it was going to be red it would be already but obviously don’t know if this is true. I have brown hair and so does my husband but there’s red hair on both sides of the family. My husband is hoping it will go back to brown! 😂

Depends on genetics, it might though. Some generations get skipped 🧐. I bet he would be super cute though 🥰

My daughter (10 years old) was born with strawberry blonde hair and noooo eyebrows. As she got older around 3 years old freckles came in, then hair got more and more orange as the years have passed. Right now her hair is completely orange and just now you can see the slightest bit of eyebrows and freckles out of control. Her father has strawberry blonde hair and my hair was brown my whole life but for some reason now it’s auburn figure that 🤷🏻‍♀️. My current LO was born with what looked like light brown hair and now it’s starting to look copper she’s one month old and she barely has eyebrows. My current husband had brown hair but has a bit of orange streaks in his beard. Genetics are funny I’m starting to think I’m the one carrying the red gene 🤷🏻‍♀️

My sonwas born with bald spots and bands of blonde, red, and Brown hair and gorgeous grey blue eyes. His hair is now blonde and his eyes are a beautiful blue.

His skin is ultra sensitive and very fair.

I'm curious about this topic as I plan to use a sperm bank for my next baby and want a red headed donor. I LOVE red hair. So I'm wondering when I'll know if my baby got the beautiful red hair or not lol.

My oldest son 25 was born a strawberry blonde. His hair is very curly, very fair skin, freckles. He was picked on a lot in school, mind you this was 10- 20 yrs ago. His eye brows are blonde barely can see them, his beard is very dark orange. When he cuts his hair very short it's blonde and you can barely see it. When it grows a bit then it's orange again. He absolutely hates his curly red hair and has always hated it no matter how much we and everyone else love his red hair.

On my dads side, blonde hair runs deep. My dad has 3 sons, they all have blonde hair. When I was 3 or so, my hair was bleach blonde. My oldest daughter, when she was born her hair was brown but now it’s lightened up so much. I think for me blonde hair is such a dominant gene that’s my kids will have blonde hair.

I know "technically" red is recessive, but my mother is half Irish(her mom has red hair and green eyes) and half Indigenous American(Native), and she has red hair. My niece has fire engine red hair, and hers was obviously red from birth.

Mama needs new friends ✨

Hey mamas 🤍 I'm going to be honest — I'm at a season in my life where I'm craving real, genuine friendship. The kind where we actually check on each other. Where conversations go both ways. Where we can laugh, vent, cry, and just *be* without it feeling one-sided.

I'm a stay at home mom of 6 (yes, 6! 👏🏼) and my days are full but my cup feels a little empty in the friendship department. I'm looking for women who get it — the chaos, the beauty, the exhaustion, all of it.

If you're a mom who values deep, reciprocal friendship and you're also out here looking for your people — drop a 👋 below. Let's actually get to know each other. 🤍

Friends??

Heyy!! My name is Marie I’m 24 and I’m a ftm and sahm to a 5 month old baby boy🩵. I find it really hard to make/keep friends 😅. Honestly I’m kinda inconsistent, like we could text for days and suddenly I stop texting for a while (hence why it’s hard to keep friends) but I will always be there and answer whenever you text!! I’m from MA but I’m down to lone distance friendships🫶🏽

Leaving your baby

Has anyone else not left their baby to be looked after by someone else (not dad) yet? I still don't feel ready but am being told I should be by now
