They worked well for me too nausea definitely calmed down

I didnt do medication, but i did have hyperemesis with my daughter! But i found a few things helped,
1. Eating small things regularly, if i got hugry i would get sick!
2. preggie pops were amazing also sucking on a mint helped too
3. Drinking enough fluids, it sounds weird but if i wad dehydrated at all i would throw up, but i coundnt do just water that really made me sick. So i did like water with a little mio in it or juice, or even some sparkling water or sprite. You need litters a day being pregnant so get it in anyway you can. Just limit sodas because the salt in it will make you more dehydrated.

And the tiredness goes away. Last for about 12 weeks give or take. I have felt with all nt babies that they are life sucking beings for a while! Sleep when you can! But it will pass

I had to stay away from anything meaty. Burgers and eggs were a big trigger for my nausia

Avatar

Has tht band actually work i just womdering cuz i have been having to take off work so many times just cuz of my nausea and the morning sickness im trying to find something tht will work so i dont have to take so many days off of work

Avatar

Im currently on sick leave and will probably stay off until i feel better. Nothing has made me feel good enough to be active and my job is quite an active role xx

I am 28 weeks and still take zofran for nausea , I wouldn’t be able to survive this pregnancy without medication

Avatar

It is perfectly fine to take for baby , I lost 10lbs my first trimester then lost another 5 this trimester from nausea, there are days where the medicine don’t help me at all but I’m pregnant with a girl , the nausea is a lot worse , I would be throwing up every thing including water all the way down to peppermints it was bad with the zofran , try preggy pops for nausea, I tried promethizine it didn’t work , diclisis , and zofran was the only thing that worked

Avatar

The medication they gave me for the nausea gave me really bad headaches. All that really helped me through morning sickness was peppermint tea!

Avatar

I got so sick of the taste of peppermint so I switched to the Gin Gin ginger chews. They lasted longer than a mint and helped me more. I also ate a lot of pickled ginger, but I love that stuff!

Avatar

Try incorporating lemon in your morning routine! A friend was suggested to eat some lemon in the morning & it has helped her greatly!

Avatar

Diclegis did wonders still on at 33 weeks.

I had morning sickness with vomiting from week 11-up until week 25. Then it leveled out to just some nausea or 1 to vomit once a week. It was taking a mental toll on me.

What I think genuinely.helped was Unisom!!! I took half a tab every single day throughout my pregnancy. Also sea bands!! Everytime I felt nausea coming on I'd put them on and feel better, maybe it was a placebo effect but either way thats what I needed. Oh are nausea candies too!

Avatar

I was so sick in the first trimester. I eventually bought relief bands (check them out online) they helped even more than the sea sick bands. I was also very tired but I got most of my energy back in the second trimester. You got this momma!

Avatar

I tried gin gins yuck I hate ginger I have hyperemesis gravidarum
First 6 weeks peppermint essential oil helped. I find I can only manage lemonade fresh one from sainsbury
Citrus smells for me a great.
Slushies and icy drinks are great
I bought the bands none worked
Cyclizine anti sickness made me sleepy as metocolpromide now I'm trying doperidome sleepier
I give up wait it out as I'd rather go natural was so desperate for normality

Avatar

I did have medication and it was really useful, I also used smint mints which were so good! It did get better though as you figure out more ways to manage it x

Avatar

I had HG so really nothing worked for me. Not ginger or crackers or any of that shit šŸ˜’

Avatar

Vitamin B6 can help!

Avatar

B6 and unisom work wonders

Avatar

Nothing worked for me so had to go for the drugs from the dr and the sickness went !!! Don’t rule them out they did work wonders for me x

Avatar

I had really bad morning sickness it's easing off now in 2nd trimester. I found pears drops were an absolute godsend!

Avatar

Those didn't work for me, nothing worked šŸ™ƒ

Avatar

Try iced peppermint tea! It was the only thing that helped me with my pregnancy and it was super refreshing for these warm summer months

Avatar

I love these bands I have them in black they saved me with a fan and gaviscon got me eating again 😊xx

Avatar

Hi

Avatar

That should go down in the second trimester. I'm in the beginning of the second trimester and my exhastion is less and my morning sickness is gone

Avatar

I think they are called preggopops? They were a life saver for me

Avatar

i was this bad for the first 22 weeks of pregnancy i had to get anti sickness from doctor no matter what i lost nearly 2 stone in this pregnancy, i had those exact bands and was terrifed to take them off even at 22 weeks when sickness was calming down they were a life saver as well, all i did was sleep in bed literally for weeks and weeks luckily we was in full lockdown so wasn’t doing anything and my older children were homeschooling themselves with my fiancĆ© it was like torture xxx

Avatar

Anti sickness bands didn’t work for me, I still got really sick and was in and out of the hospital because I couldn’t keep anything down. My consultant prescribed zofran and cariban and they work really well.

Avatar

I was sick almost my entire pregnancy! My Dr ended up prescribing Bonjesta, which helped a lot but made me super tired. Along with the Bonjesta I ate preggo pops constantly, literally my tongue was raw.
Hang in there...it's really, really hard being so sick all the time. Take care of yourself and reach out if you need someone to talk too ā˜ŗļø

Avatar

ice pops worked for me .

Avatar

Honestly, I had hyperemesis and the only thing that would help me was the medication. On the worst days I was sick 50 times a day and cyclezine and ondansetron made it completely go away. Stopped taking it (only on days where I had sickness again) by about 17 weeks and my sickness stopped altogether by about 25 weeks. My baby was born perfect medication was fine šŸ™‚

Avatar

These travel sickness bands saved me!!!! I still felt constantly sick but it definitely took the edge off and I was able to keep food down.
I wore them up until 30 weeks both pregnancies.
Hope your feeling better soon.

Avatar

As soon as I took these off pregnant I’d projectile vomit šŸ˜…

Avatar

Look into hyperemesis gravidarumļæ¼

Avatar

I took about a month off work - I work for myself so that was possible. I literally couldn’t look at my computer, which is literally my job, so I couldn’t work. I’ve found sea bands to help me a lot as well and Unisom has helped but obviously it knocks you out for a while which is problematic. I also tried preggo pop drops (Amazon) and they didn’t really work for me but tons of people I know swear by them!

Avatar

Ohh shame I was like this till I went to labour room
I couldn’t even drink water I was vomiting 24/7 for 38 weeks I stayed in the hospital few times because I couldn’t keep anything down
It won’t harm some sickness tablets
Or sack on a pice of lemon šŸ‹ that helped me
Good luck I hope you feel better soon 😘

Avatar

The bands didn't work for me, and I'm wondering if it was because my wrists were too small? I am assuming the bands work off pressure points right?

Avatar

I almost felt dead until the doctor gave me medications, first trimester is the worse. Before then eating pretzels, Hot baths (not too hot ) cold rags/ice (chewing or relaxing) stretching, and lots of sleep. I would try to puke when I first woke up by drinking something and mid afternoon and before sleeping, sometimes when your not feeling sick for 30 mins will be the reason you feel like hell for the next 2 hours, Tylenol is also safe while pregnant and can really help sickness, and sleep

Avatar

Might be hyperhimis gravidium and I morning sickness on and off through my pregnancy until was 31 weeks xx

Avatar

I really wanna add that your babies health is the most important and not to feel bad if you do end up having to take medicine it’s extremely common and you do want your baby to remain healthyļæ¼!

Avatar

Preggy pops didn't work for me, I actually tried pink stork (Amazon) and they were amazing! Also eating saltines and drinking lots of alkaline water helped tons!

Avatar

Does that really work?
I was sick all 9 months and i couldnt handle it nothing AND I MEAN NOTHING worked

Avatar

Hang in therešŸ˜‰ going thru the same thing with no annual left to take. And no choice but to try meds. They are starting to help but keep me drowsy during the day but do helpšŸ˜‰ a lot of folk say it gets better with 2nd trimesteršŸ™ŒšŸ¾ šŸ™šŸæ praying for the same

Avatar

Dont believe everything you hear
9 months of continuous vomiting.is not fun.
But hay if it stops awsome.
I wanted to kill myself( don't take that literally im a very sarsactic person)

Avatar

I swore by those bands you have, found it passed by second trim and was glad to bin em! šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ Anything ginger and plain helped me. But that's by the by, if you feel really poorly go to the gp šŸ’›

Avatar

Breadsticks and gingers biscuits and definitely antisickness wrist bands. It's awful feeling like shit all the time but a nice reminder perhaps that you're busy growing a human šŸ’–

Avatar

I used the travel bands my first trimester and LOVED them! It was the only thing that worked for me. That and constantly snacking on small things.

Avatar

I feel you, Iv been on 3 different types of sickness tablets as my sickness has been awful, I must try the bands for when I’m at work though, I struggled at work but am very lucky that any time off due to sickness is not counted as sickness and I’m paid for my time off, I’m 15 weeks and it has got a little better but hoping it does get even better on a week or so

Avatar

Where did you get it?? Xxx

Avatar

I’m still sick and I’m almost in my 3rd trimester , zofran works for the most part but some days it just don’t work

Do active babies in the womb become active newborns?

I had my 40 week ultrasound yesterday (on my due date) and the doctor mentioned how active my baby is. Curious as to your experiences regarding if your baby was active in the womb, are they likely to be active when they’re newborn? 😊

I have a 30 week scan and one at 37 weeks because im on a moderate pathway - had a gastric sleeve in 2023 so its to check she is growing but as the comments are coming im now panicking where I wasnt before 😫

Early Labour?

I’m 34 weeks today, since 3am I’ve been having irregular cramping which becomes quite intense and has caused me to vomit. I’ve also had diarrhoea. Could I be in early labour or could I just have a bad stomach? I feel generally well in myself

Movements at 31 weeks

Does anyone else feel like their movements are more subtle since being further along in the pregnancy? I can feel my baby moving inside my belly but I don't feel the movements as "strong" when I put my hand on my belly. Not sure if it's because they've changed from "kicking" to "rolling" movements.

Anyone else feel the same?
