I had one without prior warning you will feel anxious it’s normal and they will talk you through and support you the whole way, I had the balloon it wasn’t painful just a bit odd lol I went into labour with the balloon you don’t always mine started with cramping, if you stay in I would advise bringing earphones and eye mask to sleep with as it’s light and can be loud with others snoring I went in on the Friday and gave birth Sunday I hope that helps a little feel free to message if you have any questions

Don’t be a hero, take the epidural.

I had oxytocin due to PPROM although I was in early labour for a few days before with very little pain (or progress). Once the oxytocin kicks in it can get intense. But a few shots of the epidural along with the drip and he was then out within the next 3 hours

Not to scare you as everyone is different and I know other mums who had no issues with induction but I was booked for induction at 38 weeks, when they inserted it baby got really stressed and they was worried as I was contracting over double what I should have been within 10 minute intervals so after an hour they injected my stomach to calm baby and offered other induction methods but with this being first baby I was just a little worried of stressing baby out any further so I opted for c section They did state it’s not common what happened wth me

Bleeding while you pregnant…

I'm six weeks pregnant with my second child. At the beginning of the pregnancy, I had some light spotting. At five weeks, I had an ultrasound and a blood test for hCG levels. The ultrasound showed a bleeding wound, but it doesn't affect pregnancy. My hCG increased by 169% in two days. After all these tests, I no longer saw blood on the toilet paper after going to the bathroom. Then yesterday, I had a little difficulty going to the bathroom, and after that, I saw a small amount of blood on the toilet paper again. Nothing today. I'm going for an ultrasound on Friday, but I'm still uneasy. Has anyone else had this?

Growth scan at 34 weeks

Hi, I went to the midwife yesterday and have been referred for an urgent growth scan as baby has dropped from the 90th to 40th percentile over the last three measurements. Has anyone experienced this? So stressful 😔

Julia Donaldson Party

Hi all, I’m throwing a Julia Donaldson party for my soon to be one year old but finding it hard to find decorations etc!

I have a sign, banner, zog and Gruffalo cupcakes and of course a cake! Also going to bring some books and toys to display.

Just wondered if anyone has done anything similar and could share any ideas?

I know he won’t remember but I want to make it amazing. We aren’t renting a soft play we’re just buying a slide set and a ball pit etc so my son can use them at home! So I just to make sure the theme pops so I can take lots of pictures and show him when he’s older!

Is It Just Me?

Is it just me, or are babies these days developing in their own completely unique way and fast!!

My little one is 6 months now, and honestly it feels like every week brings something new.

Sitting up started around 4–5 months, even though tummy time has never been the favourite activity. Rolling is no problem, but the real interest now is in attempting to shuffle around and explore
Standing with support has become a whole new hobby — anything sturdy enough becomes a piece of “furniture gym equipment.”
Weaning began at 4 months, and by 5 months there was already interest in snacks labelled for 7 months and up. And despite all the movement and curiosity, sleeping in their own crib has been completely fine too.

It’s fascinating watching how different babies grow at their own pace — some rush ahead in certain areas, some take their time, and all of it is perfectly normal. They really do come with their own little blueprint.

My LO definitely needs to slow down 🤣😅
