Don’t judge me pls. I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and I don’t know how to feel like I feel nothing.

Now I feel guilty for not feeling bad. But I don’t feel good or bad either. I was excited and baby was planned. But now I just feel nothing. Is this normal

you let yourself feel however you need to feel to get through it. you don’t need to feel guilty for not feeling how you think you’re supposed to. there is no right or wrong way, people process grief in all different forms. xx

You are allowed to feel how u feel and no one should or can take that away from you. Everyone deals with everything differently. There is never a right or wrong in grief.

Everyone grieves differently. I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks in May 2023. It was an unplanned pregnancy since my husband & were are nit trying so it was terrifying to know I was pregnant & very hard to accept. Bt I ended up miscarrying and I felt “relieved” & kinda felt like I was “evil” for having feelings of relief instead of sadness. even tho I wouldn’t wish a miscarriage on anyone cuz it was physically painful etc. MY feelings abt my miscarriage might not be the same as other mothers. Cuz like I said we all differently & thats okay. It doesn’t make u any less human. I’m so sorry for ur loss 🫶🏾 grieving is a journey and even tho it’s a shared experience, it’s also an individual journey. Feel all the feelings u need to feel and just know that there is no one right or wrong way to grieve. It’s personal. Especially if or when ur feelings/emotions don’t align with others or the “majority” or what ppl expect 🗣️please remember that ur feelings still matter; they are still valid. God bless u

You don't have to feel awful. It's ok to not feel sad about it. I lost a baby about 15 years ago and I honestly didn't feel any grief or sadness ever... I clearly didn't want to be pregnant and have a baby back then.

You are allowed to feel what you feel emotions might come and go in waves or not come at all your grieving in your own way, it could also be your body responding with a coping mechanism try not to feel guilty about not feeling 🩷

I have had multiple miscarriages and each made me feel completely differently. Feeling nothing could be your body’s way of dealing with the situation to protect your mental health. Don’t feel guilty about how you feel but do your best to process your feelings openly and unapologetically. Some people scream and cry some don’t there’s no right way to feel

Head down and fixed

So babys head has been down into pelvis now for around 2 weeks and midwife today said its fixed and wont be coming back up. My last labour (first pregnancy) was induced so i have not been through spontaneous labour before.
My due date is in 3 weeks (16th october) but I have been having braxton hicks randomnly on and off for a few weeks now.
What are peoples previous experiences with head being fixed and can it be a sign I might come early?
I dont finish work for another 2 days and still so much to do at home! Keeping everything crossed it stays put 😅

Induction or elective c section

I’m really torn between going ahead with an induction at 39 weeks or changing my mind and having a planned C-section, and I’d love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

I’m a first-time mum and originally wanted a planned C-section, mainly because I have a strong family history of very fast labours. After speaking to my consultant, I became more comfortable with trying an induction.

The proposed plan is 39+0, potentially skipping the balloon if my cervix is favourable, having an epidural early, breaking my waters and giving things around 1–2 hours to get going. I’ve been told that if there’s little/no cervical progress, we can discuss a C-section, and that I can change my mind about continuing at any point.

My biggest concern is that I REALLY want to avoid forceps/ventouse. If an assisted delivery was being recommended and there was time to safely do a C-section, I would personally prefer a C-section.

I’m worried about a situation where I reach the point of wanting/needing a C-section, but the unit is very busy and there’s a delay getting to theatre I’ve also just had an 11-hour wait in maternity triage for leaking fluid/reduced movements. I completely understand that women who are seriously unwell have to be prioritised, and I’ve had some lovely experiences with the maternity team, but seeing how stretched the unit was has made me question how accessible that “Plan B” would actually be during an induction.

C section

It's looking like I will have a planned c section at 39 weeks, I am terrified! It's such a common procedure but the fact it's major surgery really scares me.

What are people's experiences?
