Birth story - HELLP Syndrome - Severe Preeclampsia. Missed by midwife at triage

22hrs active labour. 72 hours early labour.

Came in with excruciating pain again under my ribs which paracetamol was no longer masking at 4am on 12th July.
I was immediately advised my visit to triage 3 days prior I had after infection and
UTI.
With this excruciating pain they immediately treated me as high risk and as I was 4cm dilated admitted me on suspicion of having pre eclampsia also due to really high blood pressure which  i immediately went on an IV drip for to manage.
I then have over 9 doctors and anesthesiologists plus 2 midwifes caring for me in 1 room. My contractions from earlier virtually stopped but due to the risk of PeT they decided to induce me. We agreed I would have the epidural first as induction is renowned to be very painful once on the hormone drip. I then went and had my waters broken for  me. Now also nil by mouth allowing 55ml of water only per hour.

I had 6 canulars inserted into my arms along with epidural in my back and ecg on  constant monitoring plus s catheter. My bloods and urine came back showing my kidneys were beginning to fail and also had low platelets in my blood. I therefore had a blood transfusion x2 over 2 days.

Began pushing once 10cm dilated at 9.30pm after being sick multiple times from adrenaline. I couldn't feel many contractions apart from the pressure in .y bum ones which I pushed with and had a lot of coached pushing from midwife. Did this for an hour where the doctors advised it was best to take me to surgery for assisted instrumental delivery of forceps, as baby wasn't very active and I was sleeping during rest periods.

Pushed in labour with help from forceps and episiotomy and delivered at 22.52 on 12 July 2021.

Moving up to the ward today until Friday atleast
